Yes it could and just think if they had a 3rd baseman with power. I believe in time Crooks will show some power.
I'm looking forward to finding out if Jesus Baez can fill that position. He can bash. Wouldn't mind the Baez Bash Brothers.... (from another mother, of course)
Still I'd like to bring someone in for a couple of years to add a Real bat to the lineup. One of them can always DH or worst case be Traded if Jesus forces the issue.
Where is the DH time coming from? We already have Ivan Herrera looking for ABs when Bernal arrives, a 4th outfielder to keep sharp, and who knows what when Rainiel arrives.

If they are really all hitting at AS to MV3 levels, then maybe we trade someone to some dark corner of the AL where we will almost never face them for whatever other hole we have at that time. But currently we are still short on proven bats. Plus, taking a 3B off the market maybe keeps that bat from going to one of our rivals.

You're gonna trade Herrera. Keep [fork]ing Baez developing as a shortstop. Bernal and R.R. will both play every day C or DH in some combination, occasionally will take a start at 1B. That's how to get the most out of those 4 or 5 players.

As with many of us, I can’t stand the Cub fans. They are cocky, ignorant, and think too much of themselves. They have one World Series in the last 1,000 yrs and constantly put up W flags. Don’t get me started on their stupid throwing the opponents home run balls back on the field. BUT, BUT… I have to give them credit and a thank you for giving Baez a standing ovation after his 3 home runs. That was a classy act, very unusual for them, but classy none the less.

the less.
