The qualifying offer is projected to increase from $22.025M to $23.1M, not $28M, for the 2027 season.

The mutual option is for $20M, so if the Cardinals exercise their part of that option and May declines I would not be shocked at all if the Cardinals gave him a QO.

I still think it's more likely he's traded, but I would have no problem with May for one year at $23M or an extra draft pick if we don't get a good offer for him.

I think it's likely he's gone, at the deadline, as well. But if he's still here Monday night, I think it's a very high chance he gets a QO. I guess we'll have to wait and see (if he's not traded).

Say,...

- 90% chance May is traded at the deadline
- If not, 99% chance Cardinals take the option
- Then, 90% chance May opts out and enters free agency despite his appreciation of his experience here
- I'd say 70% the Cardinals give him a QO. Bloom is less risk adverse than Mo. He wants the draft pick. it's not like they'll have a huge payroll in 2027 either
- 15% chance May takes the QO, 85% he's a FA
- 5% chance the Cardinals sign him to a 3 year deal

Basically, ... UNeverKnow. But, ... you know.
