Agree with this.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 13:04 pmThe reason would be to wait 2 weeks or so to preserve Rookie status for Baez into 2027, with potential draft pick implications. But after that by all means, let him play his 40 games in Aug/Sept.hornetfb52 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 12:20 pm If you trade Noot, there is zero reason not to bring up Baez.
Platoon Torres/Velasquez in LF after Noot trade until Baez is ready?

Maybe Scott could actually earn a spot on the MLB roster for the first time in his career? If he is brought up next week, it's a completely wasted roster spot. You don't have a defensive sub/pinch runner on the bench for a selling team who's not competing for anything. Keep Fermin where he is and force Scott to earn something.brucesutterHOF wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 12:14 pm Sound about right to me. Victor scott would make an excellent late inning defensive replacement and pinch runner. May as well call him up when Noot packs his belongings

Josh Baez is batting .226 over his last ten games with one HR at AAA Memphis, not at MLB STL. But, yes, by all means, let's bring him up and use up his rookie status, because he will save us!woofy25 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 13:47 pmMaybe Scott could actually earn a spot on the MLB roster for the first time in his career? Of course you think the main reason he is getting traded would be about Bill's money.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 13:06 pmBut does Noot even get traded? He's not a FA, so offseason is just as likely, unless BDW REALLY needs the cash savings of 2 months of salary.brucesutterHOF wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 12:14 pm Sound about right to me. I have complete confidence that if Nootbaar is traded, the player or players that take his spot will do a great job at combining got a sub .600 OPS for the rest of the season.

When did I say Baez should be brought up? Haven’t said it once all yearBrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 15:22 pmJosh Baez is batting .226 over his last ten games with one HR at AAA Memphis, not at MLB STL. Sorry, my comment about Baez was in response to a different post. I must have mis-clicked.woofy25 wrote: ↑30 Jul 2026 19:20 pmWhen did I say Baez should be brought up?
