May is the only guy we’ve got with TOR stuff. I’ve enjoyed watching him pitch. Hope he goes to a good situation and does well and hope the return pans out down the road.

Obviously cannot stand success and breakout of young talent.
I want my best hitter to get as many chances as possible, to make an impact. Batting 2nd is just fine.
Because 70+ rbi at the AS break hitting 4th made no impact.
I don't care where he hits. He needs to get back to hitting. He has not had much impact since early in the month. His slump is killing us.
He hasn't homered since July 9th!

Even if they get it together in the next year or three it is going to be hard to re-build the fan base. They can run a bunch of their own spots during the game but they need ad revenue from actual advertisers. They need Ballpark Village revenue and not just on game days. They need people to want to rent the apartments. They have a lot of needs.
They need to play well enough to prevent fans from wanting to put out their own eyes with ice picks. Right now it is better to move on to something else for entertainment.
Ironically, last night, I did just this. I have never done that before. I couldn't take it. Of course, it is the Cubs, so that made it worse. I turned on The Shawshank Redemption and watched it for about the millionth time.
I hope....

I agree- been watching for 65 years. If they are still in the game I normally watch till the end or until the wheels come off but as you said there are a lot of other things to do.
About the same years for me. 1960 to now. I remember following any way I could, including the transistor radio for late night west coast games. We are lucky to be able to watch all the games we are, although the selling certain games by MLB is annoying. I take the night off when they do that, although I subscribe to one or two that have the broadcast. Direct TV used to have all the games.
Listened to tons of games on the old transistor radio. For some reason Direct gave me the baseball package so there are plenty of other games on every night and I can hear some quality announcers!
I read both newspapers Globe and Post, and had an Uncle who save the Sporting News, at one time the Baseball Bible for me. Read them from cover to cover. The minor league section was the Craviduce of their time.
Yep-Globe in the morning and the Post in the afternoon.

When he's on he's really good.

If they don't trade him, pick up his option and give him a Qualifying Offer if he opts out to be a FA. I'll be ok with that. Though should get more return in a trade now.

Well Wetherholt only saw one.

Walker saw five. Herrera saw one and got on base.

Cubs going 3-2 count on batter after batter. May pitching well. But looks like a 5 inning start.
