Nothing wrong with any of that. Liberatore is the one who failed in his mission, not Marmol.
congrats on the rational thinking.....

If Libby makes another start, they have given up
They (front office) aren't giving up. They never had hope or desire for 2026. This slide is exactly what they want.
The team isn't good enough. They can't hit 5-9, and the bullpen isn't any good. There were zero expectations this season. They played better than anyone predicted through the first half. Reality usually sets in at some point over 162. This slide was always likely.
Thats what I was saying. This slide makes it easier for the front office to be sellers next week.

Now you pivot tonight.

I would rather watch a Dobbins start, you burned 2 starters you buffoon, well a manager with balls would start Dobbins instead of the Lazy Lefty Libby

You are a double talking fool Oliver
Incredible poor management but what else do we expect from him?

Dobbins should be the one STARTING GAMES w/Libby in the pen' where he belongs, not the other way around but Oli just isn't smart enough to see it.
Rock, I expect that call does not belong to Marmol..

Dumb take by rock.

Dobbins got starter work last night and saved the bullpen.

Things will shift after the deadline…

I expect that Libby's starter days may be numbered this season. Deadline will be very interesting. I wonder what return Bloom can get for May or JoJo, or really anyone.... then more kids will get their chances to get some MLB experience, and Dobbins may get a chance to prove he belongs in the rotation.

This is beyond silly now. Libby Libby Libby who pitches once every 5-6 days. It's the OFFENSE! What a completely mediocre lineup! They had plenty of chances to win that game last night. Boring and pathetic to watch!

Oh My..

you are perilously close to placing the responsibility for poor performance by the players actually on the players...

not going to sell on this board...

True, but it always helps to come out of the first half inning without being behind. I agree, the offense has been pathetic. It seems to pretty much go with Walker and he is in a bit of a mini slump. I don't like him batting second rather than 3 or 4, but whatever. Ivan looks like he might break out. Pretty hard to win when it seems like only one guy a game is hitting. You need 3 or 4 guys to have a good game. Nootbar has regressed to, well Nootbar. JJ is in a little slump except for the homer the other day. You can afford one or two guys slumping at the same time, but not most of them!

Bloom controls the roster, Oli the lineup card............at least that's how it's suppose to work but we know it doesn't in today's MLB w/front offices having a lot to say about lineups and rotations so it likely is a joint decision..............and a bad one to keep Libby in the SR. ::crazya::

I realize that. But defend all you want; he needs to go more than one inning with the same reliever at times. He doesn't have to use every guy in some games.

Bruhl 45 games, 49.1 innings

Gastelum 8 games, 8 innings

Grasceffo 43 games, 51.1 innings

Soriano 47 games, 49.1 innings

Stanek 45 games, 40.1 innings

Svanson 40 games, 42.1 innings

O'Brien 47 games, 41.2 innings
