dobbins was most likely brought in because 1) the bullpen is taxed, 2) the cards were in game one ofca four fame series, 3) the game was still winnable.

The team isn't good enough. They can't hit 5-9, and the bullpen isn't any good. There were zero expectations this season. They played better than anyone predicted through the first half. Reality usually sets in at some point over 162. This slide was always likely.
