Would he be classified as a streaky hitter?

I think all hitters are classified as streaky hitters. Especially for power. A good power hitter hits 30 HRs over 150 games, roughly 1 time every 5 games.
Even a great hitter like James Wood has had stretches of 13 games (twice) without a HR this season. Walker’s longest stretch is 14 games, which he’s had twice.
Walker just had back to back games without a hit for the first time since June 21-22. He did get on base twice yesterday with 2 walks though.

Watch the PAs, they are still quality.
He walked last night after being down 0-2, taking at least 3 pitches that last year he would have either struck out on or weakly rolled over to the left side. Very impressive AB.
The whole team, both hitters and pitchers, feel like victims of bad BABIP luck over the last several games.

Honestly
Did anyone, if they're being honest, think J. Walker was going to stay on that blazing pace he set pre-ASB?
I know I didn't and he was due for big time regression to the mean.
I recall seeing some silly "predictions" in here claiming he'd hit 40+ HR's and drive in 130+ runs.
But
As some have already mentioned he's still taking (mostly) quality AB's, something we didn't see in 2024 or 2025.
It's fine to point out his struggles since the HR Derby (48 PA: 0 HR/.209 .292 .302 .594), it's relevant.
Slumps happen and Walker has ALREADY exceeded 99.99% of Cardinal fans full season expectations!
If he ends up with 30+ HR's + 100+ RBI's + .850+ OPS, then it's been a great season!

HR derby and swing? fact, fiction, not enough evidence.
i fully expect Walker to crush one after posting this in 8th.
