Everyday the same people vehemently complain about the owner, the POBO, and the on field coaching staff
Yet they continue to follow the team ….
bizarre
Those of us raising questions or "complaining" aren't the lapdogs that other fans are.
Describe yourself as you wish
It just seems odd…at least to
me…..that people would take an interest in something/anything that makes them so unhappy
Perhaps you’re too young to remember Musial, Boyer, Gibson, Brock, Simmons, and those before them; Hornsby, Dean, Slaughter, Medwick and more World Series titles than any team in history except the Yankees.
We are passionate. We are spoiled. We are demanding and we are knowledgeable about the game.

Be that as it may…
If everyday something is bringing despair to one’s life…
distancing oneself from that situation seems prudent

We're building something worthwhile in the field and at the plate, including at SS but also our SS sucks and its the coaches fault.

Ahhhhhh…the BFIB.
National media, including Peter Gammons as well as opposing managers like Jim Leyland put that honor on the St. Louis Cardinals fans. One could argue for the Cubs since the fans are more interested in stacking their beer cups and are oblivious to the game. Great Cardinals announcers like Harry Caray, Joe Garagiola, Jack Buck and others contributed to that honor.

All true.
But I would point out that you reference an era during which the Cardinals were a highly competitive professional baseball team with a small marketing department.
DeWitt and the ownership group entirely repurposed the organization as a large marketing conglomerate with a small baseball department.
Hs he realized the enormity of his mistake?
Does Bloom indicate a course correction?
Too soon to say.
But how long, to your point, the current scrum of clearly sub-standard coaches and staff are allowed to remain, will answer those 2 questions.

We are building something worth while on the field and at the plate. First, second, SS, RF and hopefully promising players at 3rd and CF. Pitching has promise in Pallante, Leahy and McG.
But seeing Winn continue to slide his anchor foot backwards when swinging and seeing so many first pitch grooved fastballs let go while getting behind in the count along with flamethrowers who have mediocre at best control seems to me to be a team crying for better coaching.
I’m somewhat encouraged by Bloom except for his evident trust in Kukla, Fran and Oli. This team is in need of experienced, proven hitting, pitching coaches and a proven manager. Can’t understand why Bloom puts up with some of this.
I believe, along with others on CT, that II’s thrift is a contributing factor in Oli’s current job.
Love the Kukla, Fran and Ollie reference. Loved them as a kid. Hell, I used to watch the test pattern before cartoons came on on Saturdays at 7:00 a.m.
I liked Kukla, Fran, and Ollie too but Howdy Doody, Buffalo Bob, and Princess SumerFallWinterSpring was higher on my watch list !
Oops ! My apologies to Clarabell , the clown for missing him !
Looking forward to the Cardinals attaining the skill levels to reclaim the Division title and play for WS.
When the Division title success level is attained a managerial decision will be made. Hire a "baseball" manager or continue the ownership & FO "we are the smartest people in the room" approach. Red, Whitey, TLR approach or Matheny, Schildt, Marmot failure?

Spot.
On.
So why does he? He was ordered to do so by DeWitt.
That is the only logical conclusion.
Not sure why some can't grasp this
BDWJr was NEVER, EVER Paying for a top Manager ($8M AAV is the going rate) knowing he was slashing payroll and the CBA negotiations were on the horizon.
Oli is a Company Man Manager, grateful to have the job and won't ever question Ownership.
He, his pitiful pitching coach and some others need to be gone once we have a new CBA but we'll likely be stuck w/him through 2027.

Thanks. Add to that Howdy Doody being the color announcer. Wheres Buffalo Bob when we need him the most?
I agree with you, Brad Thompson is one of the most annoying color people I have ever heard. This guy never shuts up and talks constantly. I sometimes will put my volume on mute when he is performing his comedian routine.
I have heard a couple ex cardinal players comment how bad the unknown comics temper is. I hope Chip Carey doesn't make him mad or we might see the real Brad Thompson.
