I grew up maybe 30 miles from there. I been to Sikeston many times. I even worked at the ice cream plant one summer.
KFVS tv- wpsd-and wsil was our three stations. Cape Paducah Harrisburg Illinois.

If you grew up 30 miles, that puts you from Cape, to Chaffee to dexter to portageville circle. Somewhere in there.
Yes, all those channels are on our TV. I usually watched KFVS since they covered MO more than the others.

I grew up in Stoddard county. And have several family in Oran. My grandmother lived just outside of Chaffee. My dad lived in Cape. My mom used to go to Dexter a lot since it was closer to shop there than Cape. I've been all over that area.
You were more in the hills that started at Morley. I’m in the farm land. There was a road called Seven Sisters- near New Hamburg. Very hilly. Heck of a joy ride.
My family has all kinds of farm land. I worked in the field many a summer day and night with the game on the radio to pass the time. I been through New Hamburg several times. If there's a wedding, chances are we ended up at Schindler's. I got more family in Bollinger county. Way more hills there than where I grew up.
Every year on labor, last 8-10 I guess, I take my now mid twenty year olds to current River in Van Buren. Ever been.
Sure have. Although it's been a long time. We used to go to our small cabin near Lake Wappapello a long time ago. My half brother built a much nicer house right on the lake years ago. I've been there a few times. How often did you go to Lambert's?
Depends on the building. The original back in the 50’s and 60’s many times. When they moved to the old War Drum, several times, and once at the current location.

I remember when the Throwed roll was as big as a softball.
I didn't realize it had moved that much. The first time I went there was probably in the mid '90s when my school took us there. The last time I was there was in 2021 when I had an interview in town for a job with a bottling company. I remember thinking how mad I would be at myself if I didn't catch the roll. Thankfully, I caught it. I love me some chicken and dumplings to go with it. I really liked the character of it. Where is the War Drum?
The original was up at the main light where a bank stands now. The next place was a place called the War Drum- textile store. Long gone.

It was on the very edge of Sikeston across from Potlach. Then they moved to miner.

I still think there was another place but it eludes me.
I've only been to the one in Miner. When I worked at the ice cream plant, my line made the Choco Tacos that Taco Bell used to have. A few years ago when I was looking for a new job, I took a preview of Orgill.
You two need to consider getting a room. 😂
Gee, thanks for the free advice.

I agree with your thoughts. But the thought of a giant hole at SS without Winn isn't pleasant.
Not only that but you mess up the whole infield defense. Your corner players are slow and average. The combo of Winn and JJ covers a lot for them.
Exactly! Too many on here would gladly slot 9 stone handed fielders into the lineup because they can hit. Guess they forgot how frustrating the 2016 Cardinals were.

Poor defensive teams are really hard for me to watch. Edit also I think some people have really bad memories. Masyn is the first really good ss we've had since Edgar. Part of the beauty of the game is the ss who can field the ball in the whole and make the throw to first in time to beat the runner. It's like the homerun of defense.

Me too. And they generally suck. But some on here think its slow pitch softball.

It’s a joke.

From what I have read/heard there seems to be a demand for righty bat with some power especially catcher position.

I don’t think Bloom is seeking to ‘sell’ on Herera but sure believe Bloom will get several calls on his availability as he fits the above criteria . Hr helped himself with thr solo HR today.

Bloom could get some nice value either solo snd/or package him with others.

A Herera trade would not surprise me if Bloom gets the package he desires IMO
