Oli being Oli. I am sure he hopes to grab a lead, then swap Church into CF and V out of the game. I don't understand why Blaze is not hitting in an RBI position instead of Winn..... But I often have problems understanding Oli's lineups...

Earlier I was supportive of not putting too much pressure on BJ and give him time get his feet wet. But he's shown he isn't overwhelmed by hitting with runners on base. Time to move him to 5 and see if he keeps eating.

His only downside is with the bases empty

Personally I'd rather sit Burleson, move Jordan to 1B, Fermin to 3B, and play Church and bat him 9th.

He very much seems to not be slowing down in that respect. Eventually he will, but they should be riding him while he's hot. Sort of reminds me of pre-injury Allen Craig. That guy was a beast with men in base. Always thought he'll come back to earth never did until the knee (it was the knee, right). Freak injury? (unless I'm mixing him up with someone else). Brain is a little fuzzy this morning.

IF we are saying that there are times when they should move Winn up
why not move him to the top and get JJ potentially more ab's with a guy on?
Let him hunt RBI ab's vs OBP ab's.

The Cards have nothing at the end of the lineup that carries any OBP.
The major flaw in moving Walker up to the 2 imo. If the current trends continue
there should be some thought to either Nootbaar or Fermin at the #9 with
the short top-heavy lineups.

He very much seems to not be slowing down in that respect. Eventually he will, but they should be riding him while he's hot. Sort of reminds me of pre-injury Allen Craig. That guy was a beast with men in base. Always thought he'll come back to earth never did until the knee (it was the knee, right). Freak injury? (unless I'm mixing him up with someone else). Brain is a little fuzzy this morning.

Oh man that would be insanely great if he comes anywhere near a prime A.C.!

I fully remember it.........Craig twisted his foot rounding 1st base, got the dreaded Lisfranc injury

Glad you mentioned Craig. We forget how good he was. He really was a beast with men on base. Jordan has shown similar tendencies with men on base. Good comp.
