Re: Parayko and the Sabres again?
If competitiveness was a concern for Parayko, which it likely was at some level as Buffalo has been a doormat for a long time, last year's playoff showing likely helped with that. They made the playoffs for the first time since 2011 and won a round for the first time since 2007. They went 7 games as well so they made it a winner take all to go even further.
They seem to be trending upward, not downward and I could see a path where Parayko saw that and would be more open to a trade now.
Not saying it's likely, just saying there's a plausible path to re-open the trade proposal, as long as they approach him ahead of time.

Yeah, it's not like he has personally come out and said he wants to stay a blue or anything. You know, when he previously refused a trade to Buffalo. Back in March.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 07:19 am Hey guys, the forum fools have already informed us that Parayko isn't available; we aren't trading him.![]()
Who's the fool here exactly?

I thought this was a dead issue. Has anybody else heard this rumor? From what I've heard this guy is timid and doesn't use his size to defend well, plus he has no offense to speak of. Why would we do this?
Really..." a message on my phone"...have we sunk this low?

No respect? Why because I would have been ok with moving on from him last March? He’s here to stay and I’m ok with it. I don’t buy into the theory that you can’t move on from players though.

55 is ridiculously underrated in this town. Steen understands his importance.

And, it turns out that Colton is a big Provel fan now. And Provel is almost impossible to get in Buffalo!Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑13 Jul 2026 10:58 am Parayko is going nowhere. Mama Imo told the Blues no and and that’s all that matters.

Re: Parayko and the Sabres again?
it's honestly one of the most insufferable takes that the haters have. That contract is pure gold right now. We have a guy that wants to be a lifelong Blue. He won a cup here and in that season was the best playing defender in the playoffs for the Blues. Why would we not want to do everything to enhance the guys legacy? He deserves a statue, he deserves the rafters. And he's doing it at 6.5m. It's absolutely crazy to me that we see these other contracts being signed, that people don't innately just say "woah Parayko's contract is a steal."
I'm glad Army/Steen and the Blues came out and said Parayko is officially off the trade block and he isn't going anywhere. Should have ended the discussions a month ago.

1. 55's contract is a bargain
2. If Blues could move him to improve the team, than absolutely do it.
3. Like every other organ-eye-zation, hard to think Blues make one transaction out of context with the bigger plan.

Why not to believe that Parayko goes to Buffalo?
A. The Blues said Parayko is off trade block.
B. Parayko's girl needs Palm Trees.
The correct answer is B, Sports Fans.

Re: Parayko and the Sabres again?
I dont think this is a thing. I feel that Parayko is a Blue. He has played 800 games here. He had a down year points wise. It will be nice to see him get back to 30-35 points per season. Why trade him? If he is (bleep) this year than you can revisit the trade idea. At this point I think this is a fake story.
And regarding Radim Mrtka. Who is he? What the hell has he done? May be a bust or a borderline NHL'er. Who knows. He hasnt proven himself.

Hey STUPID, why would a girl that has grown up in St. Louis "need Palm Trees"?a smell of green grass wrote: ↑16 Jul 2026 08:28 am Why not to believe that Parayko goes to Buffalo?

It seems that you need reminded of this daily so I'll do my daily duty........................You are simply the most ignorant fraud poster that this site has ever seen. Congrats............I guess!!!Colton Parayko’s girlfriend, Isabella Imo, is from St. Louis, Missouri. She is a member of the family that owns Imo’s Pizza, a well‑known St. Louis‑style pizza chain with deep roots in the local community.
Isabella’s connection to St. Louis is both personal and professional — she has built a life in the city, is involved in the local business community, and shares Colton’s commitment to staying in the area. This ties into his decision to use his no‑trade clause in 2026 to remain with the St. Louis Blues, a move analysts say was influenced by his desire to stay close to her.
In short, Isabella Imo is a St. Louis native and businesswoman, and her roots in the city are a key part of her identity and relationship with Colton.
