Good game by the boys.

Good to get a clean sheet as well.

Another good result and off to the knock-out stages. Looking forward to seeing how this team performs against some higher-ranked teams.

Adams, Robinson, and Balogun carrying yellow cards so they'll need to sit against Turkey-eh. New rules for this World Cup clear out yellow cards after both the group stage and the quarterfinals.

Based on your prediction that Turkiye would win the group with USA third, then you will only have to wait until Thursday.

Almost everybody that follows the sport had Turkey over the USA in the group - they have world class players but I guess they can't put it together.

From what I remember neither team had their top lineup inserted but the USA didn't look that great when they lost to Turkey 2-1

Beats me, just know that USMNT were the group betting favorites. Turkiye is still somehow considered a dark horse, which I assume is because of a semifinal finish in the 2008 Euros.

So what does Pochettino do?

Wholesale changes?

Sit the four on yellow cards?

So the game at 9:00 pm on Thursday is a friendly?

The only thing Turkiye can play for is pride. USMNT is playing on July 1st against TBD in the Round of 32.

Curious to see how Poch plays this.

Love watching the matches, don't pay much attention to the rules of the tournament. Seems strange for a team that's winning to have to play a meaningless game, risking injuries.

It's actually seen as an honor and a reward to get the opportunity. Argentina, Mexico and Germany have all put themselves in the same situation.

Go ask England if they would have rather had a win today with a meaningless game next, or have to play a game now where a loss could see them finish third.

So if you win your first two matched you think the third game should be cancelled?
