USA 2 Australia 0.
Good game by the boys.
Good to get a clean sheet as well.

Another good result and off to the knock-out stages. Looking forward to seeing how this team performs against some higher-ranked teams.
Adams, Robinson, and Balogun carrying yellow cards so they'll need to sit against Turkey-eh. New rules for this World Cup clear out yellow cards after both the group stage and the quarterfinals.

Based on your prediction that Turkiye would win the group with USA third, then you will only have to wait until Thursday.todd-parker wrote: ↑19 Jun 2026 19:38 pm Another good result and off to the knock-out stages. Looking forward to seeing how this team performs against some higher-ranked teams.

Almost everybody that follows the sport had Turkey over the USA in the group - they have world class players but I guess they can't put it together.winonsports wrote: ↑21 Jun 2026 10:05 amBased on your prediction that Turkiye would win the group with USA third, then you will only have to wait until Thursday.todd-parker wrote: ↑19 Jun 2026 19:38 pm Another good result and off to the knock-out stages. US was the favorite to win the group by the betting sites I look atBalotelliMassive wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026 08:37 amAlmost everybody that follows the sport had Turkey over the USA in the group - they have world class players but I guess they can't put it together.winonsports wrote: ↑21 Jun 2026 10:05 amBased on your prediction that Turkiye would win the group with USA third, then you will only have to wait until Thursday.todd-parker wrote: ↑19 Jun 2026 19:38 pm Another good result and off to the knock-out stages. Beats me, just know that USMNT were the group betting favorites. Turkiye is still somehow considered a dark horse, which I assume is because of a semifinal finish in the 2008 Euros.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026 10:08 amFrom what I remember neither team had their top lineup inserted but the USA didn't look that great when they lost to Turkey 2-1

So what does Pochettino do?
Wholesale changes?
Sit the four on yellow cards?

The only thing Turkiye can play for is pride. USMNT is playing on July 1st against TBD in the Round of 32.edwin drood wrote: ↑23 Jun 2026 12:15 pmSo the game at 9:00 pm on Thursday is a friendly?winonsports wrote: ↑23 Jun 2026 09:59 amTurkiye has been eliminated.mjg wrote: ↑22 Jun 2026 10:54 amBeats me, just know that USMNT were the group betting favorites. Love watching the matches, don't pay much attention to the rules of the tournament. Seems strange for a team that's winning to have to play a meaningless game, risking injuries.WildBill wrote: ↑23 Jun 2026 14:03 pmThe only thing Turkiye can play for is pride. It's actually seen as an honor and a reward to get the opportunity. Argentina, Mexico and Germany have all put themselves in the same situation.edwin drood wrote: ↑23 Jun 2026 14:41 pmLove watching the matches, don't pay much attention to the rules of the tournament. Go ask England if they would have rather had a win today with a meaningless game next, or have to play a game now where a loss could see them finish third.

So if you win your first two matched you think the third game should be cancelled?
