In fairness he had been demoted but then Urias went on the IL.

Ive always questioned the concept of WARs replacement player. Who is this mythical 0 WAR player who should be available at near minimum wage and how do you obtain them?

If they grew on trees then we shouldnt need to employ any negative WAR players. But in theory a 0 WAR player shouldnt have much if any positive value and should be cheap to obtain. Something just doesnt add up with the concept.

He just turned 24 in April, 68 ABs this year, plays OF, SS, 3rd. Cards players... Urias is out, Winn is iffy, Noot out. He is filling in as needed.

I have no problem with TS being in the dugout as a backup infielder but not as the 4th outfielder. I think part of the problem also starts with carrying 3 catchers.

He just is what he is. He doesn't have any high level skill, hes just ok to sort of ok at everything, in the majors that translates to a guy struggling to keep his head above water.

Interesting adjustment you suggest... that he needs to get his back elbow up higher .. In the meeting with Brownie , our batting coach , Saggese asked him if he recommended to raise his elbow higher . Brown reportedly told him , ' No, forget the elbow higher , the only thing you need to 'get up higher' is your batting average. If you don't soon , your elbow will be even lower .. like 'lower to AAA Memphis ' !
