They needed to deal for a guy like Trocheck at the deadline. I guess the Rangers were asking for the world (Drury overplayed his hand) but that’s the deal that made all the sense in the world. They probably still lose to the Avs, but that’s the deal they needed right there.

I think Trocheck wanted to stay in the East. I know he had west coast teams on his no trade list but I thought i read he didn't want to go to the western conference, similar to Noah Dobson last summer.

I agree he would have been a great fit.
