If the Blues passed on both Bjorck and Lawrence to take Hemming, I’d probably revolt.

That said, I seriously doubt the Blues would do that.

Suvanto seems like the type that should develop into a likely 3C. I can only assume Pronman sees more of a future 2C in him but I don’t.

And a prospect projected to be a 3C then also absolutely has viable paths that they’ll only be a 4C or tweener. For example, is Suvanto’s draft year really all that more impressive than Zach Dean’s was? I like Suvanto but like a few others more.

Nordmark is one of the more talented players in this draft but he’s also ridiculously inconsistent, gives (bleep) effort and seems like a whiney beech with a bad attitude.

The Blues are trying to draft high character players. Nordmark doesn’t come close to the profile of players the team has been selecting in the early rounds.

I would tend to agree but also think that at some point he’s worth taking if they feel he can mature over the next few years.

That said, he wouldn’t be a main target for me. I’d be much more interested is his countryman Alexander Command. I see a likely 3C in him with an ok chance of maybe being a 2C. Very responsible, smart and a solid two-way game. 15 may be a little early for him but he’s probably gone by 31. That’s the rub.

Or if I wanted to take a highly skilled but flawed player, I’d go with another Swede, Elton Hermansson, over Nordmark. He’s basically useless when he’s not scoring but he scores a ton and I’d rather take a chance on a very talented kid learning passable defense than a very talented kid learning how to give effort and be a decent human being.

Regarding the highlighted. Any idea if 31 and one of our 3rd rounders is enough to move into the 22-25 range?

Pick 31 plus one of the ones around 75 would tend to allow teams to move up to the 27-28 range, not 22-25. And again, only if the teams in the 27-28 range have any interest in moving down.

To possibly move from 31 to 22ish, you’d likely have to attach a decent 2nd, not a 3rd.
