Pronman Mock: Hemming and Suvanto
Just putting it out there as they come about.
I saw one analyst who thinks Suvanto could go top 10. I don't see it, but given his size and young age (almost a 2027 eligible), some team might be enamored.
Link
11. St. Louis Blues: Oscar Hemming, LW, Boston College (NCAA)
The Blues are transitioning between GMs this summer, so it’s hard to predict their tendencies here, but Hemming is very well thought of in the league. Hemming is highly physical with size, while also having a good amount of talent that makes him a potential hard-nosed top-six winger.
15. St. Louis Blues: Oliver Suvanto, C, Tappara (Liiga)
With their second pick, the Blues bolster their center depth. Suvanto’s direct, highly competitive net-front style to go along with legit offense is a highly desirable player type, even if his feet are a bit heavy.

Sorry...and Nordmark...
31. St. Louis Blues: Marcus Nordmark, LW, Djurgården (U20 Nationell)
Armed with their third pick of the first round, the Blues can afford to swing on Nordmark’s immense raw talent. At 6-foot-2, he skates very well, possesses highly gifted hands and can break open a shift with his flashy offensive abilities. He comes with notable risk due to an inconsistent effort level and some bad habits, but his pure tools are those of a top-six NHL winger.

The astute will notice that the MOCK shows the Blues drafting MORE WINGERS. How is this possible? Is the author crazy? Doesn't he know that we need Centers and RHD, and ZERO need for Wingers?
Oh wait. The quality Centers and the RHD go TOP5 usually. For sure, TOP10. That's not St Louis again. For almost the 20th year in a row.
Some wander why the team is in such desperate need of Centers and RHD.

I've been predicting for the last couple months that even though the Blues deserve it and need it, they will spoil their TOP5 draft position some how some way. I would bet that we draft no higher than 10 in 2026.
We shall see.

12 of last years top scorers weren’t even drafted in the top 10. You should go back to being Bleeder…..cause you cry constantly like it’s that time of the month.

I'm still waiting for him to show proof the NHL Is paying off the Blues. Talk about ignorant statements, that one takes the cake.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑11 May 2026 20:01 pmWhen you start 3 threads a day and have over 3,000 posts…you are bound to say something that works out.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑11 May 2026 19:37 pmYep. there is no other explanation for why the Blues have not drafted anywhere near high for almost 20 years.
there is no other explanation for why our GM tells the fans that drafting #15 every year is optimum. No one else believes that. Not close.
there is no other explanation for why the Blues challenges 3 offsides goals in one game when the season is over.
there is no other explanation for why the Blues "groomed the rookie GM" when the team is bottoming out. No other GM would be happy with that situation.

Not a fan of the picks by Pronman. I would go Bjorck or Belchez if that is how it played out at 11...at 15, I am not against Suvanto, but I would trade back with that setup. Nordmark is fine at the end. I also don't think we end up with these picks anyway. We will be a big mover and shaker this offseason. Going away party for Army and the Blues set up to go in any direction they feel is best.

Yeah, if Bjorck is available at 11, you take him.clemonsonroots wrote: ↑11 May 2026 20:24 pm Not a fan of the picks by Pronman.
