Parayako was on team Canada and Kyrou had multiple 30 goal season s before last year. Sometimes you don't realize how good people are because you have seen them be better. So the devaluation in your mind becomes monumental when it isn't the case in reality.

Are you meaning to say what Faulk is really worth? Or the price that Detroit paid? Or the price that Detroit thought they would pay?

IMO. I believe that Faulk is a late-round 1st or 2nd, and that is what Detroit thought that they were paying for him.

Detroit did not make that move expecting to miss the playoffs, that’s for sure.

Yes, I truly agree with this. I have no problem if this team stands pat and keeps their picks(as long as they don't pick stupid). I am very very excited about Carbs, AJ, and many of the guys for the T-Birds right now. I have really been enjoying following the story and listening to their games.

I hope the team has plans on keeping Parayko till he retires. I'd like him to finish out his career as a Blue. They can just drop him down the lineup as the kids take over. 2 to 3 years from now Jiricek and Mayo should be firmly in the top 4 by then and Parayko can shore it all up on the 3rd pairing. Should be easy for him after a whole career of playing 57 mins a night. I want Parayko to have the statue out front.

Your point is real good, but whatever deal(s) will have to be bringing something real special. I think HighStick put it real well just above...we really only have 2 excellent talent RHD (still learning & proving, Mailloux Jiricek) and one darn good very experienced RHD, Parayko.
We'll see what happens with the Draft, or possibly as you indicate the "first" deal if/when that happens.
And I think Parayko also brings a special kind of leadership to the team for what it's worth. Maybe not THE Captain, although I think he could be, but certainly one whom commands respect through his character, etc.
But the day will come, as it always does, when we'll be able to get along without him.

Parayko is a tough decision if it’s a package like the Buffalo offer. There’s definitely value in keeping him to stabilize and lead the other young D. I don’t think Lindstein has the same experience without Parayko partnered with him.

If SJ trades the 2nd pick, I expect it will be to the Blackhawks, so the Blackhawks could guarantee getting Stenberg, and SJ would still have their pick of the defensemen with the 4th pick, since Vancouver will likely draft Malhotra with the 3rd pick.

The only way a trade with the Blues would make sense for SJ would be if the Blues were willing to trade Broberg or Jiricek, which makes no sense for the Blues. SJ moving down to the 11th pick would very likely mean all the top defensemen have already been taken, so SJ would want a young defenseman in the trade with upside of playing in an NHL top pair.

I think the Rangers, Kraken, and Panthers are more realistic teams for the Blues to trade with to move up in the draft.

Could see them asking for one of our defenseman instead of Colorado pick but I wouldn't want to give them Fischer(think he has the most potential) or Ralph(seeing him as perfect 3LD for 10 years but I feel we need more in return if we give them Lindstein. Maybe they take Buchinger and winger like pekarick instead

If Army & Steen find a similar but slightly less package for Parayko that they almost got at the TD, i’ll bet ya my Wonder Woman Pez dispenser that he’s as good as gone this time, which is fine by me.

Awesome Dman for the Blues most of his career, and we dont win the Cup without his playoffs play in 19’, but teams that can set aside the fan’s mushy feelings and put winning first, arent scared to reload and rebuild and trade off depreciating assets while they still have value so that they can either 1. Stay on top, or 2. Rebuild for the next contending window.

Keeping Parayko at this point may help a little in showin the young D how to play, but that’s what coaches are paid to do. We have unnecessary unneeded redundancy with Parayko, Fowler, etc.

That’s my story and Im sticking to it. Anyone who thinks differently, that’s your right and your prerogative. I respectfully diagree wholeheartedly.
