Who says no?

Post by StLouis-4Life2 »

To San Jose: Parayako, Kyrou and Colorado number 1
To Blues: #2 pick, 2026 and 2027 second round picks, and 2028 first round pick

Kyrou 40 goal potential with celebrini and cost controlled, parayako veteran presence, and still maintain a first round pick to keep fans happy.

Blues bank on Stenberg potential (almost same ppg as Forsberg in the same league at the same age). Hope to be able to draft Rudolph at 11, if not reach and take Juno P.

Could see them asking for one of our defenseman instead of Colorado pick but I wouldn't want to give them Fischer(think he has the most potential) or Ralph(seeing him as perfect 3LD for 10 years but I feel we need more in return if we give them Lindstein. Maybe they take Buchinger and winger like pekarick instead

As has been stated, you reach a point where you no longer have room for all these picks. A β€˜28 first is 6 years away from being seen in a Blues uni at best. That’s too long.

Those 3 draft picks San Jose is giving is what my opinion is based on. They aren't guaranteed to be a playoff team next year and they could end up being mid round picks.

I can tell OP is a Blues fan. Not only does SJ say no, they also file restraining orders against Blues management

I'm actually counting on never seeing that pick in a blues uniform. I'm hoping we are close enough by the end of next season we use that pick in the off.season with other assets to get the missing piece

Think everyone is underestimating Parayako and Kyrou's trade value. Remember how everyone thought last year at this time we will be lucky to get a 2nd rounder for Faulk?

Parayako was on team Canada and Kyrou had multiple 30 goal season s before last year. Sometimes you don't realize how good people are because you have seen them be better. So the devaluation in your mind becomes monumental when it isn't the case in reality.

Might be under estimating the value of the #2 pick

There are no guarantees the number 2 pick overall will even be a nhl starter. Hell look at Nail Yakupov who was number 1 overall

Only 1 in the last 25 years wasn't and it was due to injury.

Patrick
Kakko
Murray
Lehtonen

Those are the 4 that would be a lower value than 55 or 25.

Just going off the last 10: 2025: Michael Misa (Saginaw, OHL) - Selected by San Jose Sharks2024: Artyom Levshunov (Michigan State, NCAA) - Selected by Chicago Blackhawks2023: Leo Carlsson (Orebro HK, SHL)2022: Simon Nemec (HK Nitra, Slovakia)2021: Matty Beniers (Michigan, NCAA)2020: Quinton Byfield (Sudbury, OHL)2019: Kaapo Kakko (TPS, Finland)2018: Andrei Svechnikov (Barrie, OHL)2017: Nolan Patrick (Brandon, WHL)2016: Patrik Laine (Tappara, Finland)

I would point out Beniers, Byfield and Kaapo have never scored more than 50 points in a year(Kyrous worst in last few years was 46 last year) Nolan Patrick is a never was and Laine is bigger cancer than Kyrou. Svechinov only has 5 more over last 3 years than Kyrou but I'll give you him. So basically 50% have more value than just kyrou and we aren't even bringing parayako into the mix

Misa and Levshunov are just coming into the league..

Beniers and Byfield are centers and have more value than Kyrou

Laine's was amazing to start his career and fell off a cliff

Are you meaning to say what Faulk is really worth? Or the price that Detroit paid? Or the price that Detroit thought they would pay?

IMO. I believe that Faulk is a late-round 1st or 2nd, and that is what Detroit thought that they were paying for him.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Parayko does not go anywhere else anytime soon.
