Did you hear how it happened ? I did this morning on MLB Radio.
Reported it happened at home when he was playing with his kids .. went down to his knees doing whatever and raised up according to Manager Counsell.

A torn meniscus repair usually is 4 week recovery time period . Some of us 'normal ' people take longer but these pro athletes have full time trainers in the clubhouse that give them therapy (often multiple times in a day ) that will make the recovery a bit faster than Joe Blow who doesn't have all the high tech equipment etc.

Not sure I would say “skyrocketed”. He had a couple solid years with the Diamondbacks, too. He had 2 really good months last year and then was [shirt]ty the rest of the season. He had a 1.347 OPS in April and a .951 OPS in July. His next best month was a .676 OPS in September. 2 of the months were well below .600.

The distance to the basket in the front part of the left center "well" is less than 360 ft. and the same area in right center is about 360. The true center field is not marked and is less than 390 with the basket sticking out. Wrigley has very little foul territory in play, which greatly reduces foul outs. It is an extreme hitters' park, unless the wind is blowing in hard.
