Great point and don’t forget Doyle’s antics on the mound. I know some find that acceptable. Not me and I hope the Cards fix that not to mention teach him a few pitches he should have learned in College.

Nope, he didn't make Doyle a finished major league pitcher but by all accounts Doyle got stronger and tougher under Vitello while dropping 20 pounds too.
