My guess on the first 8 picks(not in a specific order): Stenberg, McKenna, Reid, Carels, Malhorta, Verhoeff,Smits, Rudolph.

That's likely going to leave the 9-10-11 spots considering Bjorck, Lawrence, Belchetz, and a few others. My preference would be to pick Belchetz or Rudolph which means we need to jump to the 9 spot to likely guarantee one of them.

Lin is 5'11". Same height as Makar. There are loads of NHL defenseman that are shorter.

The idea that the only good players are at the very top of the draft is pretty stupid and gets disproven every year. It’s your business if you want to pay attention to the draft or not but there’s no reason to create a fantasy about it.

15th pick Belechtz-LW- and Lin-RD are there.
31st pick one of the Ruck brothers.

I don’t see Lawrence or Rudolph falling to 11. There are not 10 players better than either in draft.

Agreed. Centers and RDs always get valued a little higher than wingers.

The concern I have is I have a pretty solid top-10 I like so hopefully another team or two drafting before the Blues sees it differently and takes one or more of the players I have later.

Those would be the guys I’d be targeting at 11 and 15. Or in that general range if the Blues were to move up or down a couple spots.

Of my top-10, I’d say the only ones I’d expect have much of a chance of still being available at 11 would be Bjorck, Lawrence, Smits or Rudolph.

The Blues should get 2 good young players and have a slight chance of getting a true difference maker at 11 but as usual, the truly elite players will go in the top-3 or so.

Anyone who says you can't find talent in the draft is either a troll or an absolute dingus. Yes, it gets exponentially harder outside of the first round. But those are some of the best 20-25 players in hockey. Tired argument by tired trolls.

My guess is SJ takes Reid at 2. There’s an above zero chance Reid ends up the best player in this draft and they could really use him more-so than Stenberg or Malhotra.

Perhaps the Malhotra relationship makes them lean that way at 3rd overall but I guess we’ll see. Personally, I see a pretty clearly top-3 of McKenna, Stenberg and Reid (I just don’t see Malhota’s offensive game popping enough to be in that group longterm) but many are clearly very high on Malhotra so I guess we’ll see!
