Torres has MORE than earned a shot, Prieto has earned a shot as well, and I know Nelson V is not off to a great start but he still offers more power potential towards the bottom of the lineup.

All three on the 40 man, and during their mini-slide what could it hurt?? Torres and Prieto or Nelson V. are the moves
Or, how about some pitching!
Yes the pitching?
Not trying to slight the OP.....and Torres & Prieto may both be worthy of getting their shot BUT....the pitching is the sore spot.
Today they scored 9 but lost because the only 2 reliable relievers to date coughed up 4 in the last two innings!
They should do both church in center would be better offensively and defensively and Torres in left who knows what Torres could do but it would probably be better than Scott. Add better offense and better pitching
Oz I confess to not knowing much about Torres!
He’s never really been listed on their top prospects list and he will be 29 in July.
But he has a lifetime BA of over .300 in the minors so it sounds like he puts the bat on the ball.
No real power.
Fine with me if he gets a look as I have always liked good contact hitters.
I get having a bit of a leash with Scott and Church has been coming on!
Then you also have to factor in Noot the end of May!
Baez also of course is much higher on the radar.
Torres could be the odd man out?
Well they thought enough about Torres to add him to the 40 man instead of willing to risk losing him now is the time to see what he can do before Baez comes up and noot comes back. Although I don’t know if noot will be back in may or June Bernie said when he asked cardinals staff about when noot would be back they dodged the question and wouldn’t answer it and that made him think noot would be out a lot longer than anticipated. But Torres coming up is just my opinion he might suck worse than Scott who knows

Yep, now is the time. Play him in LF, Nate in CF and JW in RF, see what he can do before Baez eventually knocks the door down. He may never get another shot, good window for him now, put him 9th with no pressure and if he is still an OBP machine, JJ and Ivan will have good RBI chances
Love that idea. Plus, he has EARNED it. Reward the man for cryin out loud!

The rotation has done ok this past time thru. McGreevey just keeps getting it done somehow.

Correct, he really has nothing else to prove at AAA. Team is on a roll now, but it needs to be very soon

I especially would like Prieto up here and Saggese sent down where he belongs.

No issue w/VSII being demoted either.

And while Bloom's at it, DFA Stanek and bring up a RP. :x

Not sure why Stanek keeps getting reps, even with tonights inning
$3.5M reasons why Jobu

BDWJr always wants to get his money's worth even at the expense of the team, for such a bright businessman he's never grasped "sunk cost" when it comes to his players who end up being STIFFS.

I would have been impressed with the time stamp if it were from yesterday though. I'd give kudos for that

Valzquez is hitting under the Mendoza line and has an OPS under .600.
Gee, I don't know why we don't call him up

Or briuhl he has reverse splits lefties kill him yet oli continues to use him like a lefty specialist to face lefties. Its strange neither stank or bruiuhl are in the long term plans i dont get why they cling to them and use them like they are
