Those darned Cubbies

are pretty good. The lineup has 4 hitters with a BA over .300. One of them is Carson Kelly. The pitching is holding up well too. Argh.

That’s cool. Hopefully the cards can keep pace

Who would have thought that approaching the completion of 1/4th of the season, the entire NLC would not have a team below .500?

The Cubs are who "we" thought they were. Expected to win the Central. No big surprise they're out of the gate fast.

Carson “King of the First Half” Kelly.

For his career

It certainly wasn’t me. Lots of competition in the central. It’ll be fun to watch.

Yeah. I only root for 2 teams. The Cards and whoever is playing the Cubbies.

They were in last place for half the season. Winning 16/19 will do that for you. The cards have won 12/18 games.

Cardinals in 2nd place and only 2 games back.

Scubbies have played half the AL teams the Cards have (18 - 9)

Also, the Cardinals are 6 - 1 vs teams today over .500, the scubbies are 4 - 5 so their beating up on bad teams.

Yea but you know the adage- good teams are supposed to beat bad teams. It’s ok if they are good. As far as competition is concerned, we need only make the tourney.

Very soon we face Pitt Reds Brewers and a Cubs. We will see then. As for Oakland and KC. Watch out.

Long flights. Sleeper teams. I smell a 2-4 trip with hopes of a 3-3.

I miss posted. It’s SD for four, then Oakland for three. Seven game trip. Thoughts.

Then KC.
