The whole premise of this thread and many others from the past on CT is that St. Louis is significantly more dangerous and crime ridden than other major cities with MLB teams. All I’m saying is that no one here has provided evidence to prove that premise, you included.
Moving on…
Again……it’s not permitted
You’re either being purposely ignorant of that or trying to bait me or someone into doing it so they can get banned/suspended. Which I assume in your mind makes you a winner regardless…….they don’t post it and you win or they do and get punished and you win…….
All I’m saying is you can do the research here yourself, it’s not hard to find.
But if you disagree regardless, find yourself stat a home there, go shopping there, go on night walks there, go open yourself up a business.
Why won’t you though?

I have no idea what you’re talking about regarding providing facts to back up a OP not being permitted. All I’m asking is that folks back up their claims with facts. If you can post a statement about how dangerous STL is, why can’t you post a simple statistic to back said statement up? I didn’t make the claim so asking me to disprove it seems lazy.
There was a massive spike in homicides nationwide around that time, so it’s not that surprising.Frivolousz50 wrote: ↑03 May 2026 18:19 pmThat's a .massive drop from 5 years agoQuincy Varnish wrote: ↑03 May 2026 17:44 pm30 so far this year… 141 last yeardhsux wrote: ↑03 May 2026 16:42 pmWhy did they say 2?Quincy Varnish wrote: ↑03 May 2026 15:54 pmThere have been 30

If you’re lazy and take that approach, sure, it makes sense to be afraid like you are. By as has been pointed out countless time in this forum and may other places, crime rates in St. Louis are considered deceptive, largely because the city-county separation creates a uniquely small geographic, population-dense city (62 sq miles) that is separated from its suburban, safer county counterparts. This results in artificially inflated per-capita crime rankings that don't account for the entire metropolitan area, unlike most other U.S.Banner29 wrote: ↑03 May 2026 20:03 pmHorseradish wrote: ↑03 May 2026 19:57 pmBecause I know reality is different than hyperbole and crime rates in metropolitan STL are comparable to other cities.Banner29 wrote: ↑03 May 2026 19:46 pmHorseradish wrote: ↑03 May 2026 19:42 pmWhat exactly are you acknowledging? Yeah I’m gonna go with purposely ignorant on your part. I know you’ve been around long enough to know the rules here. Were honestly already going too far in this conversation and are probably just lucky it’s a Sunday evening
All you have to do is type in “most dangerous cities in America” into google. Is that enough spoon feeding for you or can you just not accomplish anything without assistance?

Strange that you think facts are “my logic”. You brought up googling a specific phrase, I pointed out that while know the results of said search pretty well, there is a reason why the results of that search would be flawed, and now you provide more hyperbole. Just a reminder, you have provided zero data to support any specific claim.Banner29 wrote: ↑03 May 2026 20:32 pmHorseradish wrote: ↑03 May 2026 20:26 pmIf you’re lazy and take that approach, sure, it makes sense to be afraid like you are. Ah, great logic. Seeing as how the topic at hand is the city itself, Busch stadium, and the area around it. What goes on in Maryland heights seems to be largely irrelevant here.
But as I reiterate, if it isn’t so bad in the city, based on your logic of diluting the stats with the county statistics. Go ahead and find yourself a home there. It isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be right? What could the issue be?
