Happens at every ballpark/stadium in all sports, in every country.

Thieves know the owners aren't coming back any time soon.

Show some facts and not just post a general statement. If it wasn't on the rise, it wouldn't be reported. I can remember when there a huge police present around the ballpark and nearby area.

Ok

Dodger Stadium (LA Dodgers): Historically high crime reports in parking lots due to their immense size and location, leading to increased security and police patrols.

T-Mobile Park (Seattle Mariners): Reports of broken windows in surrounding lots during game days.

Progressive Field (Cleveland Guardians): Multiple vehicles reported broken into at nearby private lots during playoff games.

Oracle Park (San Francisco Giants): Known in the past for issues, though recent data suggests broad citywide trends are improving

Why Break-ins HappenHigh-Density Parking: Large crowds and high-density parking offer ample targets and cover for thieves.

Unsecured Lots: Many downtown stadiums rely on third-party or unmonitored parking lots, which are prime targets.

High Value Targets: Leaving purses, electronics, or valuables in plain sight makes cars easy target

-A.I.

You're just trying to act like downtown St. Louis is worse than any other city that houses a stadium.

Agree there needs to be a larger police presence but this isn't news.

When I was a kid, we used to board the redbird express bus at the shopping center 5 mins away. I think it was $2 and it dropped you off in front of the park. Much cheaper than driving and parking.... Metro trains.... I realize that many folks don't have great access to transit, but if you do, that is so much cheaper than parking and theft risk. Yeah, I am sure it happens at most stadiums as thieves have 3 hour window. Unless there is a patrolled lot, it is a risk.

Strange you see it that way. Still no real facts posted.

I don't go downtown often but took the family to our first BattleHawks game in late March. It was a late morning game with the Cards playing early afternoon.

We rode the Metrolink downtown and it was great. I doubt I will be parking downtown anytime soon.

Chavez Ravine is notoriously worse than anything that will ever happen at Busch.

Bad lighting contributes all levels of crime around Dodgers Stadium. Yet, the SeeMe Crowd still flocks to the games for the 3rd-7th inning

The big, bad city. How will some ever survive trips to the ballpark? Nervous nellies.

Trying to put my finger on what all these big cities have in common. Hmm, it's escaping me...
