But no way I mess w/that now even though I don't like Herrera in the #2 hole.

For now:

JJW/2nd
Herrera/DH
Burly/1B
Walker/RF
Gorman/3B
Winn/SS
Noot/LF
Pages/C
Church/CF
That’s what I’m guessing it will be
I'd like to have Noot up higher if he's hitting well but just can't bring myself to mess w/that 1 thru 5 right now when they're cooking.

I toyed w/hitting Noot NINTH (9th), creating a DOUBLE LEADOFF man affect!

JJW
Herrera
Burly
Walker
Gorman
Winn
Church
Pages
NOOT (Double leadoff man)
I mentioned something similar earlier in this thread. "Right now, the Cardinals seem set at 1 through 5. How about the Cardinals bat Nootbaar 9th to kind of serve as the a second lead off man as the lineup rolls over?"

"Where will Nootbaar best fit into the Cardinals lineup?".
Exactly where he has been so far this year.
By far, the best assignment for him.
When he is on the active roster, the team is made worse - period.

Your lineup proposal is how it could shake out. Or flip Nootbaar and Church if Church is showing more power and RBI production than Nootbaar. Noot and Wetherholt back to back in front of the big boppers has some RBI potential.
Wait a minute, you said TB was an “Add Foe.” How were you able to directly quote-reply to him when you can’t see his posts?

I may have misremembered from around the time you were formally designated an “associate of the GURU,” but we’ll never know because he can’t see my posts.

I always answer threads like this before looking at anyone else's comments, we agree.

Could definitely work.

You said leadoff (1st) in your virtually identical thread from just two weeks ago: viewtopic.php?t=1522153&hilit=Nootbaar

I like your for now lineup but if Noot hits I would like to at least try 1 Noot 2JJ 3Walker 4 Burley 5 IH.

Herrera has an OB% of .424 at the start of today’s game. Why bat him lower in the order, behind the team’s RBI hitters.

7th. You don't mess with a top of the order scoring this much.

Another for sitting Scott once Noot comes back. Looking forward to seeing what he can do. As far as spot goes probably 6 or 7.

Because I think he has more RBI potential in his bat.

Tough to make out a lineup when we don’t know who he is supplanting.
Presumably Scott?
The lineup will also vary by LH or RH SP.

Trust me jt, that was my original thought I put on here during the winter.

But JJW/Herrera have just been so darn good and w/ the offense if humming I'm not messing w/it for Noot who will (likely) be gone late June/July.

He needs to stay on the bus. Forget about us. There ain’t no yellow ribbons round the old oak tree.
