Not sure Scott has it upstairs???
With his speed hitting cans of corn is not the answer.
By all accounts he is very conscientious about wanting feedback and wanting to get better. He just isn't getting better.
Ok I probably made it sound a bit harsh so let me rephrase:
He does sound like a good kid and is coachable.
My original comment was more reflective of his plate discipline.
Needs to hit the ball on the ground more to utilize his great speed.
Too many pop flies.
A la Willie Mays Hayes.
Needs to go the other way more also on the ground if he shows bunt draws in the third baseman and starts slapping them the other way like he did today he would get a lot of hits.
Exactly.
Slap it on the ground and run. Preferably to the left side.
Any bobble and he’s safe!
BTW Oz.....I admire your educational attempts.
But we’re all wasting time talking to Goldfan the whining, babbling moron! LOL

the guy simply cannot hit...he has zero power and is h9tt9ng all of 190...he seems to refuse to hit down on the ball and make use of his speed...seems to me he should not be out there other than a defensive replacement or pinch runner
It’s sad hopefully not much longer. Upon Noots return?
Probably...
We'll see how brave Oli and team are to make the sensible move. Church to center when Noot takes over LF. Still a lot of lefthanded bats
The sensible move is Church to center now, bring up Torres to play left, and Scott can go suck in triple A.

Agreed
Once Noot returns he goes to LF, Church to CF and VSII to the bench or Memphis (unless they send Saggese there where he belongs).

TBH given Noot's injury history it's somewhat difficult to pencil him in as an every day starter reliably. Hope springs eternal but not for much longer.

I cant justify keeping a player on the roster for just pinch running, and defensive replacement. The problem with that is he'll still get 2 starts per week. Thats too often for me. I would much rather have Nelson V getting thise 2 starts per week. If he hits, your lottery ticket paid back some. If he doesn't? You cut bait.

Sometimes a guy hits into tough luck, but this guy doesn't hit the ball hard enough to break a pane of glass. The experi man ent should be over, this guy is a double A ball player. Get him out of here!

Intentionally trying to hit grounders is a losing proposition. The majority of his PA's in the majors have resulted in ground balls where he's hitting .200/ .200/.206/.406
Bryan Torres at Memphis is a great alternative to Victor, and already on the 40-man roster, can play OF and IF, good defense, fast, walks, doesn't strike our has extra-base power. An on-base machine. Swap Victor for Torres tonight.

Victor has had a nice shot, he has shown little improvement, and he has regressed this year. Memphis is nice in summer.
