Who in their right mind in a "rebuild" would bring in another guy who cant get anybody out with that price tag?
Again I ask the well wishers what happened to all this "depth"
In pitching we have?
Cricketts.
just a minor league contract. Who cares.
If we have all this so called "depth" then why do you need a veteran pitcher in steep decline taking up a spot which should be used for a younger pitcher?
I think there is depth. Just some not ready for mlb.
If Walker is willing to work as a reliever, I wouldn’t mind seeing what he can do in Memphis.

That's not people were saying prior to the season.

Some want to call it a rebuild and then want to play a 29-year-old rookie in CF and sign an over the hill pitcher.
Yeah and you have to have something to rebuild with and at this time there is no generational type talent anywhere in the organization.
We've got dreamers here who believe this team can contend in earnest next season and even contend for a WC this season.
Delusional.
So if there is no one here, no help on the way, and an inept front office- how many years do you plan to stay on the forum sounding the alarm?

Comprehension isn't a strong suit for you is it?
Im talking to those who have said this is going to be a quick turnaround. It isnt.
Where is the star talent going to come from if you dont trade for it and then pay it or buy it via FA?
Through the draft thats how. And how long before a generational talent is drafted and developed?
Which player presently fits that bill in the organization?

Nobody wants Torres in CF.
But some want to continue to give lots of at-bats to a 25-year old who has a wet noodle for an arm, and 1 extra-base hit in 72 PA so far this year.
But at least he also has a crisp .467 OPS to go with all that thump!
I wouldn't hate the move. Given how Fitts is out of the year, Mathews and Mautz can't find the strike zone, and Doyle is taking some lumps at AA...why not? I'm not saying he bumps anyone from the rotation today, but no matter how you cut it, someone's going to have to cover some innings this year.
