I don't see the point in picking up a 33 year old pitcher who really hasn't even been average in the past few years. If we were close to the trade deadline, fighting for a playoff spot and had a couple of guys injuried, maybe you take a chance on him.

See if he would take a minor league contract and move to
The bullpen see how that works

It’s an innings game at this point. Does Bloom think he’s got enough arms in STL and MEM to cover 2026? Losing Fitts didn’t help.

Probably a good idea to try.

If he could bounce back we can package him at the deadline maybe with a C and Noot and do some kind of 3 way trade for a RH OFer?

Can we sign him to a minor league contract
Let him pitch in relief a few games
See if him can pitch a few innings every 2 to 3 days

Some want to call it a rebuild and then want to play a 29-year-old rookie in CF and sign an over the hill pitcher.

Yeah and you have to have something to rebuild with and at this time there is no generational type talent anywhere in the organization.

We've got dreamers here who believe this team can contend in earnest next season and even contend for a WC this season.

Delusional.

Walker 2024 - 2026

58 G
40 GS
5.67 ERA
1.59 WHiP

Mikolas 2024 - 2026

68 G
66 GS
5.33 ERA
1.34 WhiP

So we want to bring back a Mikolas clone, wait this guy makes Mikolas look........okay not good but......?

Besides, we already have that in K. Leahy (5.63 ERA/1.67 WHiP)..............okay cheap shot but he does s u c k as a SP.

If we have all this so called "depth" then why do you need a veteran pitcher in steep decline taking up a spot which should be used for a younger pitcher?
