+1

Then it's bye-bye Saggese who heads to Memphis or could it be VSII?
My opinion, TS.
That would be my move too, he has no position here.

Getting PA's at Memphis could up his trade value, although he's likely nothing more than a toss in when C. Bloom deals D. May, Noot, and/or JoJo.
As bad as Saggese has been offensively. Currently, his position with the Cardinals is the backup SS to Winn. You don't mess with the future Gold Glove 2B, Wetherholt, by taking him away from 2B to cover at SS.
Nope, JJW stays at 2nd base accept in an emergency situation.

C. Prieto (.321 .371 .568 .939) can easily be recalled from Memphis if they want to send Saggese down.

Fermin can also be sent down too, Pozo could easily be released.
Yes, Prieto could serve in Saggese's current role. He would also give the Cardinals a fine lefty bat off the bench. However, Marmol might still want Saggese's RH bat in LF against LHP. At least for now, until Baez is ready.
Fermin would play in that case. No better than he is hitting, you can't afford to leave Saggese out there for as long as it is going to take to get Baez here.
That's true on Fermin. However, for some reason, Marmol still seems to want to give Saggese more opportunities. I would prefer Baez in LF, sooner than later.
My, your old "the next Jeff Bagwell" predictions and bandwagon really derailed really quickly for you!

When one takes 20-30 different, often conflicting, and constantly changing positions on every player, odds are pretty good at least one of them eventually will land somewhat close to the mark.

It is like playing Roulette with this guys posts. Play all day and surely or in this case, "Shady" your number will hit eventually. He should change his name to Roulette, even though "Shady" is pretty accurate as well.

Urias has played 63 games at SS in MLB. I am not saying he is good at it, but neither is Saggese.

Saggese, like Pages, is yet another of Oli's "guys".........pitiful the way he takes to players who are J.A.G.

Saggese has no RH bat, he reeks .180 .241 .220 .461.

Until Noot returns, Fermin should get playing time in LF if Church bumps VSII fron CF.

Or, maybe it's a good time to give Church a run of 4-6 weeks in LF and see if he can hit lefties and righties?

Come June 1, there could be much more depth in the outfield for Marmol to choose from. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I agree on Baez he may not even be called up this year they may do him like they did JJ and not call him up let him make the team out of spring training. You could be right about church replacing Scott in center when noot returns don’t know about that though on St. Louis sports central the guys said some in the organization are very high on church and there’s some in the organization who are very high on Scott so i guess it will come down to who bloom is higher on although oli could get both players plenty of playing of time if he wants to
