He has a big arm which is a weapon. It's been on display except the poor throw on Saturday. But it wasn't "lazy" as our resident clown described it.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 23:04 pmTo that point, though, I feel like Walker has made some big defensive plays. The hitting has lagged behind, but I think his defense has improved each year.
I doubt he brings home a gold glove, but if he can be a slightly above average....

Re: Walker looking good so far
All teams go through lulls. Some are just resets, some are bigger and called rebuilds. Not unusual.
What made this rebuild more sensitive was the depth and scope of the issues, from way down low to ML club.
If we have healed the outer fringes of this infection, stop it from spreading, we will see positive results.

Unsure what ground rule he would have in place that would prevent Walker from using one there .icon wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 22:22 pmMaybe Oli has set ground rules on when to challenge.ramfandan wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 22:03 pmGlad you were at the game , BFM ! Question for you regarding Walker .. the at bat when Winn was on 3rd with 2 outs and Walker (wth 2 strikes on hi m) took a ball that appeared on TV box to be just below the strikezone box , the ump called strike3 as JW didn't swing. However, he did not challenge it either Did yo are any fans around you question why Walker elected NOT to ask for a challenge there . Sure puzzled some of us on CT forum at the time.BrockFloodMaris wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 17:29 pm I was at the game today. Walker took much better ABs with some hard contact. I will be happy to be wrong about him.
You had tieing run sitting on 3rd, 2 outs ... If he does not challenge , the inning is over . It's not like the next batterr is coming up to drive in Winn.
So you are forfeiting a chance to drive him in especially a guy who had a homer and double previously in the game
Even Winn had a perflexed look on his face .. like 'why didn't you challenge that , bro ? '

Whatever.
Maybe he slammed into a wall which explains his behavior on CT?

You’re close. It’s called the school of hard knocks; and many of us took to many to the head-ha.

There were some groans in the crowd, but no objection from JW. I sense that the manager takes the batter’s lead on challenges.icon wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 22:22 pmMaybe Oli has set ground rules on when to challenge.ramfandan wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026 22:03 pmGlad you were at the game , BFM ! This (0 KO's/2 BB's) may be as good an indicator as the HR and extra base hits that something may be finally clicking.
Perhaps the Bloom, Cerfolio and company found the key to unlock that ground ball door?
See Ball, Hit Ball hard Jordan, no more overthinking things.
Way too early but early returns are encouraging.

Maybe. I guess I don't understand the ridicule of a player so I can be right about him not making it. That's Mel. It's always about the guy who always says it's never about him. Or maybe I just got my buttons pushed because Im exited that the guy looks like he might crawl out of the hole. I usually just ignore Mels nonsense.

I would gladly engage with him(agree or disagree)
if he didn’t start every post with “as I alone correctly stated” and then finished every post with “easy, obvious, correct”!
LMAO
Seriously? Then saying it’s never about you?
Yikes
