Drawing that 4 pitch walk in the 9th there was huge. Once I saw that I could feel the walk off coming. Hopefully JW can translate those hard hit balls to actual hits. He seems close. If him and Gorman can be better we can have a great offense

The thing is that if he and Gorman had actually developed sooner we would have never had to do this rebuild lol.

Hopefully better late than never though

The past is the past. But I think if Walker and Gorman both developed sooner we would have still seen both Arenado and Contreras moved. Same moves made, it just would not have been called a rebuild.

Looks like he flipped the switch on after ST ended. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing, love to see it.

He also had an easily caught foul ball pass under his outstretched arm and was caught napping in allowing the tying run to score from 1b on a single.
Two more defensive mistakes on his part.

Is the Wonderlic test still around?

NICELY DONE!
Begs a question.
Who scores worse?
Walker?
The Marmot?
Both appear to be learning impaired.

Didn’t see the foul ball but he definitely did not get to that single quick enough

I missed most of today’s game, but he doesn’t seem ‘lost’ thus far. Which is a positive.

At bats are way better. I just saw on Twitter that he was thrown 11 balls today and only swung one time.

Chasing has been a huge problem for him

That was Gorman's and Walker's secret plan . Look so bad that the team would go to 'rebuild' and trade away some of the vets to open more spots especially Gorman taking over for Nado . lol Pretty sneaky !

Didn’t see the foul ball but he definitely did not get to that single quick enough
The foul ball was up against the padded wall in foul territory.
Walker jumped and the ball passed under his forearm.
Tough play....but he did misjudge where the ball was at.
As for the game tying play, Walker took a bad and lazy angle which clearly indicated he was not thinking about being in a position to make the throw, and Winn was late to get to the cutoff position because he was not anticipating a play at the plate either, which left him too close to the infield and not far enough into the outfield grass to take Walker's throw.
Young team, early in the season, stuff is going to happen.
But since it is so reminiscent of the mental mistakes far too often witnesses the past few years, it is worth keeping an eye on.
