They aren't going to hit enough.
Just enough to scratch the door. I see many games 4-5 runs apart, meaning little chance for comeback, and many nail biters with just enough to not get one the hump.

I think what will happen on the season is 2-3 pitchers will emerge as league 1,2, or 3.

One league level hitter.

That’s a good start.

Why would they be determined to lose 100 games?
Better chance of a high draft pick. They are giving every indication of tanking.
How’d that draft position work out in 2026?
Cardinals dropped from 8th to 13th. Not good.
I would hope the St Louis Cardinals would focus on winning instead of tanking. Sad state of affairs.
Proof of tanking, please? They could get Aaron Judge and you would say they spent too much. You’re the guy that complains the bag of gold given to them is too heavy.

66-96. Liberatore, May, McGreevy, Leahy, and Pallante project as a terrible rotation. Gray's absence will be felt more than the optimists here realize. The steady production of Contreras and Donovan will be missed, and the dropoff in 3B defense will be significant. I think it will be a much more interesting team to watch, just not a competitive one.

Always love how the various sports betting gurus are on the mark for W-L records.

Who had the 2025 Brewers winning 97 games ?
Zero

You don't know enough about me to put words in my mouth, dumb (donkey). I (or anyone in their right mind), would not complain about StL acquiring a marquee player like Judge. It would be a refreshing change from the current philosophy. This team is sending a much needed power threat to AAA because they're afraid of losing a mediocre utility player or bad reliever? Moves like this suggest winning is not important. Open your eyes.

No need to reiterate the obvious.

This team had problems scoring last year and they have gotten worse offensively. The pitching may have gotten better but not by much.

I'm thinking 71-91, but could see it be worse.

Walker and Gorman are not anything special. Team has no power on the current 40 man roster. I think it's going to be a long season.

They had no HR production in 2025. 20 HR's in 135 games by WC
could be surpassed by IH, AB, NG, JW or JJW. No way they all do and maybe only 2
do, health will matter. Additions will too, but still a low bar by 2026 standards. I'll
take the over 148 HR's of 2025 for no better reason than how low it was.

I'm not sure that they got worse over 162 games.
We'll see but JJ should match or better Donovan. The 2 boys you
mention can't do worse. It's mostly on the Contreras subtraction for worse
to occur. How much can that be really. Injuries may derail them but
that has been a common theme in St. louis.

I criticize stupid moves. I give credit to good things. If I sound like a broken record, then things must be a mess. See, I prefer when this organization tries and makes decisions based on winning. If you take issue with that, so be it. It tells every poster on here a lot about you. You settle for mediocrity and below average.

71-91
last place in central

this concludes...

• JJW has a good/impressive rookie campaign
• burly, herrera, winn put up career averages or slightly better
• vs2 struggles to get on base
• walker and gorman continue disappointing with the bat
• libby pitches like a 2/3
• noot and may are traded during season (assuming they play well enough)

scoring runs will be very difficult. defense should be good. sp is okay at best but not good. bp is wait and see as always.

meant to include i see the cards more as 68 win team but bumped the number up since they tend to outperform expectations by at least a little.

Ok last day to be apart of the record predictions. Currently 51 entries, 4441 losses.

The board predicted record is 75-87, about five games over the odds makers.

Question- would a 75-87 be a victory for the team and a success for the rebuild.
