Nothing wrong with honest emotion when making a critical play BUT “celebrating” a double in the third inning has gotten laughable!
If the team is down 3 runs in the 3rd inning, and a player doubles and clears the bases to tie the game, a little fiery emotional release doesn’t bother me at all.

Watching players do the same when they’re down 8 runs and on a last place team is way more annoying.

I would never advocate for throwing at someone's head.
But other than that, your point is spot on.
If a hitter wants to strike an exaggerated pose for hitting a ball with a stick, more power to him.
And if the pitcher wants to force the batter to pose laying prone on the ground next time around, more power to him as well.
After all, there is nothing wrong with pitching inside, far inside, to prevent another home run.
Fact is, of the two, pitching inside even if it results in knocking down or hitting the batter serves a legitimate baseball purpose, whereas posing for the camera does not.
You would quickly be hated by your teammates. Pitchers don’t bat. Who do you think is getting hit next?
I wonder how soft some of you are that words can make you commit assault. Truly sad.

These are highly competitive athletes and if Im the opponent and you're deliberately trying to show me up than you're just asking for trouble.
Your opponent didn’t show you up. Your lack of play showed you up. It’s pretty simple.

Here’s one you should try. “I know you are, but what am I?”

If you saw his most recent home run, he hit it, and walked halfway down the first base line holding his bat before he started his jog around the bases. I loved it, we need some more flair around here

Bob Gibson would put one in his ear hole next at bat.

Not these days he would be suspended every other game because it’s common practice and they don’t tolerate head hunting these days he would have to change with the times or he would be out of baseball. He was a smart
Guy I think he would change with the times

Nothing like celebrating a sack in the 4th down two scores. Except pointing at the scoreboard.

Yes
“Raw” emotion coming from making a game changing play is to be expected.
Posturing for attention gets old but it doesn’t change my feelings for the game.

Pretty obvious isn't it, to those who actually understand this game?
No one wants to see a batter hit in the head.
But the pitcher has a very valid reason to respond to a batter's HR antics by pushing him off the plate.
After all, the hitter who poses has just advertised how relaxed and celebratory he feels in the box.
A pitcher should take note and should push the batter deeper into the box.
If a thigh, a rib, a hip happens to get in the way of a pitch, so be it.
The hitter can enjoy another slow trot - that one being just 90 feet long rather than 360.
Valid. Necessary. Appropriate.
Easy.
Obvious.
Correct.
