Timmins is dreadful maybe use him for the rest of this season, but he can’t be the bridge thru next season IMO.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:25 pmAgree. If the deal is Mrtka, 2026 1st and Timmins to help with salary, that’s decent. Timmins is a RD signed thru next year at $2.2m. Would help on the right side as a bridge to some of the younger guys.sdaltons wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:17 pm I think whoever said we may take Timmons back might be on to something. Remember we can't retain salary for just this year. Whatever you agree to retain, you retain each year of the contract. Would prefer not paying part of his contract the next four years. So the other option to offset salary would be to take a contract back in the deal.
Edit: Maybe they throw Ellis back to us as well.![]()

Opposite. Thomas likely won’t want to stick around if we’re doing a rebuild and trading Parayko. This would accelerate speculation and trade talks with Thomas, and increase the likelihood that he waives.leedog68 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:29 pm So, we had Thomas away from the team for personal reasons, and Parayko out with phantom back spasms now. Sounds kind of like Thomas took a couple of days to think about waving his no trade and decided to stay so he is back playing. They approached CP55 and he is still thinking about it while "resting his back". This theory would end Thomas speculation.

It was mentioned by Maroon on the NHL Now show I’m watching. Pure speculation on their part while they were talking potential pairings in BUF if the trade goes thru.

You don't understand this potential trade? Are you in loser denial?TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:33 pmFaulk isn't nearly good enough anymore to handle those minutes. I still think the Bolts may add a RHD to round that veteran group out.
Detroit will also look to add a RHD
If CP55 approves, does Army keep Faulk to play big minutes on the right side and hold the hands of the youngsters next year?

Parayko is not listed in the projected line up on tye web site.

So, you think he went away and pondered his future and decided to stay. And then one trade made him change his mind.tfriede2 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:35 pmOpposite. As much as I love Parayko he is likely on the decline and probably wont age well. Getting 2 equivalent 1 st rounders is solid. Faulk should get about the same maybe a hair less due to age.

Like another poster said, we potentially traded an older Parayko for a much younger and cheaper one along with a first. You don't think that would be amazing if it works that way?TheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:33 pmFaulk isn't nearly good enough anymore to handle those minutes. Great trade!
1. Great prospect with great size and skating.
2. Another round 1
3. We need to lose more than we win for the remainder of the season. This will help.
Next up, Faulk.

He went to a funeral. I’m saying that even if Thomas declined to waive last night, his thinking likely changes big time if Parayko waives.leedog68 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:38 pmSo, you think he went away and pondered his future and decided to stay. It was just time to move on. Parayko can’t play forever and the Blues are a long way from competingTheJackBurton wrote: ↑04 Mar 2026 16:33 pmFaulk isn't nearly good enough anymore to handle those minutes. Nemec's name (again) is out there now; just interesting to watch. Funny they mention Toronto in on everything and they have next to nothing to offer up.
