I think Thomas has been hurt most all of this year.

He will forever be linked to Berube's firing because he sided with Kyrou, and I see why he might have made that decision... at that time- not knowing the consequences.
Army traded off all the old leaders except Schenner because he thought Kytou and Thomas were ready to continue stepping up their games like grown men. He was only half right.

True we dont know the inside stories ever. The majority of evidence lean to Thomas as a top 12 ish NHL center, better be darn sure if hes traded or the Blues may spend 5 years looking for another center

I have agreed with this on occasion esp as Jiricek and Dvorsky go. Others who claim to have a ton of prospect knowledge may have disagreed with me but i only know what ive seen with my eyes. Even when Jiricek was banged up, most people still knew he had stud player potential. I was critical of Dvorskys mobility and whether or not he would make a contribution even this year but then i saw him in Springfield a few times online and he looked really good. Now i think that Dvorskys ceiling is more of scoring PPG center i see him doing great things at 20 yrs old.
Basically the Blues system is already full of exciting young players some are already online with the Blues. After this years draft the organization may be set up for another nice long run

Do you have any updates on Lindstein? it was my understanding he was the most impressive prospect at team camp the last 2 years. Was hoping he could replace Tucker next year but some poster said he hasn't looked good lately.

I think Dvorsky will be extremely motivated to have a strong offseason. His Olympic performance should be a huge boost for his confidence. I also think the play against Nashville where he couldn’t handle Stamkos (which most players probably couldn’t) will push a competitor like Dvorsky to keep improving. If he can improve his speed and acceleration a bit more I think he’ll be a more productive 5 vs 5 player.

Just saw the replay this morning for Slovakia v Germany. Here's the clip starting at Dvorsky's assist (watch him start and follow the play, being right there when the goal is scored)

Not much after that he causes a 2 on 1 break and finishes with a sweet goal on the near side over the goalie (Grubauer?) - I mean watch the replay from the other angle to see how he sets this one up.

I think Ott has changed up the strategy a bit, Lindstein has netted a few goals lately. Depending on who the Blues trade or how they feel about the last 25 or so games i think Lindstein should get a taste of the NHL so he has a Summer to prepare for camp. There will be 6 or so young defenseman in Blues camp that could earn a spot or two, let the best ones get the jobs

It seems Dvo has unleashed his WWE -tyoe Celly in the Olympics. My GF hated it as far too pompous. I get it, but he can pull it off.
