The face of the franchise is now a sobbing Dewitt with out-turned, empty pockets.

Nobody whose OPS is sub-.600 is a leader.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2026 09:43 amSecond question first. Yes you need a clubhouse man and a franchise man- I would think often the same guy.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2026 09:37 amOk. Who would those b And is it necessary to have one or both or???sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2026 09:34 amCan there be a difference. I’d say you can have a clubhouse guy, and an outside guy.
You might have Judge as the man on the cover, the franchise guy, with Soto, as your clubhouse guy. Meaning multiple leaders on a team.
As for who ours are- I see Scott or Winn in the clubhouse, and JJ as your franchise.

In my eyes, Donovan was the last. New ones will rise for sure. Some maybe there that we don't see but in my eyes with what I know, my statement stand. We have to hope some step forward. Maybe May or Libby on the pitching side. Have to hope Winn grows into it on the position player side. Or it could be that Pages will move into the leadership void

Any statement can be made on assumptions with little info.HorseTrader wrote: ↑17 Feb 2026 17:14 pmIn my eyes, Donovan was the last. New ones will rise for sure. The team will be fine. Sometimes when there are ‘leaders’ on the team, it prevents younger, would-be leaders from seizing their opportunities.
All will be fine. The players won’t suddenly forget how to play baseball.
