Canada shutout. Binnington stopped 22 shots vs 21 for Canada in the 1st two periods so did the job when needed. Only faced about four shots in the third period as Canada pulled away to win it 5-0

Binnington was actively handling and passing the puck

It's been dificult (perhaps painful is a better word) to watch his starts of late, but I have to admit, I've seen a lot of deflection and point-blank shot goals when he gets the net. Hard to understand how anyone could consistently be so unlucky but he seems to find a way.

Yes, we want HIGH TRADE VALUE Binner!
I just don't see the Blues being able to deal Binner for anything of value. Who currently needs a goalie that hasn't already traded for a goalie this season?
Teams that would want a dialed in Binnington for a playoff run -- Oilers ( Jarry ? give me a break), the Canadiens and depending on health -- Vegas. Toronto without a run seems to be sellers.

Definitely Edmonton. Jarry is a joke, but Stan Bowman is a bigger joke. Still, they can’t waste another year of McDavid and Draisaitl in their prime because they go into the playoffs with a weak goalie. Unfortunately, I’d be shocked in Binnington agreed to go to Edmonton.

And I want him to stay in Saint Louis.

Amen to this!

Easily my favorite Blue (next to Pronger) and would be thrilled if he played his entire career in STL and got a statue.

So all that we have to do now is put an All-star defense in front of Binnington, and it is shutout city.

Case closed.

He had me at "Do I look nervous?" Honestly, that's the statue.

And it should play Ginuwine's "Pony" when you walk by.

That and to say nothing of what he still has to offer.

People here are crazy to want to move him.

Finally got that franchise goalie and fans want to (bleep) all over him. I don't get it. Seriously cannot remember a time being a Blues fan with an internet connection where there weren't people whining about the goalie no matter how good they were playing.

Agree, the Blues just need to play a decent defense in front of Binny. He'll take care of his part.

He cant get pumped up for a regular season game apparently. his sub 900 save percentage and 4 goals against is mostly on him. He hasnt taken care of his part!

Goalies are always such a (bleep) shoot. You just don't know what you'll get. I've been watching The Blues for decades and no matter the team in front of the goalie, we always lacked the goalie. I also get there is going to be a decision next year with both Binnington and Hofer. We probably aren't going to be in Cup contention for a couple more years. Yet, you're not going to get much for Binnington even if he wins out the Olympics and doesn't allow a goal. Add to that you don't have anyone in the system ready to back up.

Haven't seen the game yet today, but it appears Binny took care of his part in this one. I believe that's all the team asks of him.

"you're not going to get much for Binnington even if he wins out the Olympics and doesn't allow a goal"

What?

Goalies just don't bring much back in trades. I find it odd since a goalie is the most important part of your team, but historically they simply don't.

This is exceptional news leading up to a (likely) game that for one of those rare times is more than a game
