Sure all these picks are great……if and only if you get a MLB player
The two best draft pundits in the industry both say it's a deep college hitters draft up top....sorta like 2023 (that draft had college hitters with at least an "A Tier Grade" all the way to 18 pick, we got Davis at 18, hasn't worked out, per se, but there's still time. And it's THE BEST Prep draft...perhaps ever. Prep hitters and especially Prep pitchers...the amount of High Control with this crop of HS pitchers has never been seen before.

So...yeah, this is a really good draft, it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. We might go deep with HS talent on day 1... our first 6 picks are on day 1.

Yes, Bloom is type to go for the 'high upside' types and with these multiple picks he can be risk taker a bit more . Could see him going for a few HS athletic high upside abilities.

Tigers signed Valdez and currently stand to lose pick #69.

So 13, 32, 50, 68, 72 , 86 becomes 13, 32, 50, 68, 71 , 85 unless Detroit chooses to trade pick #69 and lose pick #98 instead. Actually, I'm not sure if their #69 is subject to forfeiture since it is a competitive balance pick so maybe they don't have to trade pick #69.
Astros will gain a pick after the 4th round.

Note: Zach Gallen will sign eventually and when he does it could affect some of the Cards draft pick positions:
  • the DBacks will get the #29th pick (if he signs for more than $50M) or the #76 pick (if he signs for less than $50M). Cards picks could move down.
  • the signing team will lose a draft pick or maybe even 2 draft picks. Cards picks could move up.
This is just my understanding. I could be wrong but I will never admit it!

Can’t have draft choice preferences before the college season is played.

Suggest you check out many of the posts from Cravaduce on the forum. He follows the upcoming talent quite well both high school and college guys.
He has already mentioned a small group of names of possible players for the 13th pick in the draft, for example.

You may want to also check out Baseball America . They have extensive rating lists of players for the 2026 draft... a Top 200
