Very interesting stat. Any correlation to K/9 and wins?
The top teams in K/9 - Atlanta, Houston, Milwaukee, Mets, Yankees, Dodgers, Padres, Philadelphia. All but the Mets in the top 10 on wins.

So, yes.
And the Mets were under achieving. Heres a tough one for ya- correlation of K/9 and wins- with teams with two power arms or more.
How did teams with two power arms do? And does the power arm idea extend into the pen.
When you are trying to prevent one run, you want a strikeout.
So you are saying the power arm extends into the pen. I mentioned earlier that I saw a stat that Woo threw 70 percent fastballs. Is that possible- did I simply hear wrong.
Woo threw 72% fastball last year. And yes. Guys with power arms and poor secondary pitches become relievers. I believe we are going to start seeing teams use guys with a full arsenal of pitches more and more as the 5 inning start becomes more prevalent. Think Tink Hence.
Where did you get 72%? Am I reading this wrong? It says 47%

4 seam and 2 seam, or sinker, combined 72%. 48% 4 seam.
Yea I heard it on MLB Shredders. And Woo was like tenth- there were 9 better rated.

With all these past 'pitch to contact ' type pitchers the Cardinals consistently had on the mound , it will be refreshing to see a couple guys coming down the pike like Cijntje , Doyle , etc. blow some strike 3 fastballs past some hitters for outs. Nothng better for a fielder that doesn't have to chase down a hit ball for the out. Don't let the batter hit it in the first place. Go Cardinals !

Yes it will.someone posted we were 29th in K/9.

Any movement upward may seem great.

Agree 100%. Exiting part of the game seeing your pitcher strike the other guys out, especially with men in scoring position.
