Interesting timing to ask for the Order. And the Marketing Department may want to review the pricing decision.
Who knows, maybe they figure with the baseball and soccer teams not being the most exciting draw, there is less chance of losing market share for discretionary sports entertainment? (I wouldn't count on it.)
Maybe they'll keep share percentage, but revenue may not go up even with a price increase.

In July I was pretty close to buying some sort of mini plan (13 games or so) but then we decided to do a landscaping project and convert our fireplace to gas, etc. so I decided to hold off.

I have no clue how much the team makes from season ticket holders but I’d guess it’s a very small part of the revenue in general. I assume sponsorship and tv deals are a far larger part.

It’s not just the Blues or just hockey. It’s a sports wide issue and society at large. These teams and businesses used to be a part of the community. They were a boost to the local community in many ways - players and owners alike. Now it’s all about the bottom line and how much the next hot shot can skyrocket contract expectations or the owners can build their tax funded billion dollar stadium. That then gets passed on to us and a family of four upper bowl to an NHL game in Feb sets you back $200 or more. Don’t even start with the NFL.

It’s just sad seeing the acceleration of late stage capitalism in general lately. I guess I know I’m old when I’m pining for “the good old days”.

Yup I try and fly as little as possible but my kids LOVED the cruise we went on last year so we booked another for end of May

For the four of us to get to Miami area its going to be like $2000 give or take

Not to mention, with that beautiful low price, the flight times are absolute dog [shirt]. There's about 2 direct flights out of 20, the other 18 connect somewhere and total travel time is like 6 to 8 hours minimum.

How in 2026, in the freakin USA are most of my options to fly from STL to Miami take 6 - 8 hours? Its unreal

In fairness to them….the cap is going up and the Blues normally spend close to the cap. They are losing their television partnership with Fanduel and that will be a huge loss revenue wise. Gotta make up that money somewhere.

Anecdotally, it was roughly $370 dollars to get into a weekend game for my wife, 2 kids, and I in December without parking/food/etc vs. the Rangers. We chose to ride the Metrolink because it is ~$40 to park near the Enterprise Center now. Took my son to MonsterJam a few weeks ago, $160 bucks for two people for tickets direct from Ticketmaster, $40 dollars to park so even that was $200 dollars.

As mentioned by another poster, many folks are just living on credit and there will be a breaking point where it just is no longer feasible.

Also with the cap rising so quickly, mid market teams are going to feel that pressure really quickly. Jumping up from 87 million to 113 million over three seasons is LOT of tickets or a lot of increase in average cost.

Based on last years, cap (since that is why they announced the cap schedule):

87 million * .43 = 37.4 million from tickets
113.5 million * .43 = 48.8 million from tickets

26.7% increase in ticket prices needed to break even if everything else stays the same.

Average Ticket Price:

2024-2025: $49.50
...
2027-2028: $64.68

Assumption: 41 home games a year (no playoffs) at full 18,400 capacity.

Edit: Just to add that is an extra $60 bucks per game for a family of 4 on top of the cost from last year.
