What would you like with that, sir—potatoes, potatoes, potatoes, or potatoes?

On a side note, I spent a lot of time in Austria. My Austrian colleagues hated it when I ordered wiener schnitzel. They thought I was stereotyping them and would implore me to order something else.
Spent a few days in Vienna a couple of years back. My two food memories were going to a cafeteria style place where all the food is behind a counter and you just order and order for the table to share. I feel like the style of the place has a unique name.

And we had a sachertorte amongst other things at the famous cafe sacher wein. Waited in quite a line. Good stuff.
I love German cuisine. And Eyetalian, Gio.

There is no disputing the Bavarians have the greatest breakfast ever!

This was my late morning meal at the Frankfurt am Main airport. Trink zwei Wiesswurst mit Brezel und sauerkraut und ein Bier.bitte.

Owned by Valentine - I guess related to Trudy Busch Valentine.

And the reason they have 'heart' in the name of the Venue.

and opened on Valentine's Day last year.

sorry, 2 quasi-German items does not make it--notice no sauerbraten--which is practically de rigueur for the cuisine-- or anything else. Really, a wurst burger? that's stretching it

I guess I wasn't specific enough--when I said the St Louis area, that doesn't include traveling to far away areas. Jefferson City? Yeah, I want the food but I'm going to drive that far

Sauerbraten is on their dinner menu. Click on Dinner on the link I shared.
