Kerber is fine! I like Vitale as a person but goes on too many tangents not related to hockey! Would love to see someone like Jamal Mayers take his place.

lol imagine being proud of the position "announcers aren't even needed for me because I watch with perfect focus at every second and can determine every player at a glance by their skating style, which is a incredibly intelligent sustainable system for a sport needing mass fans"Cajanek-Spielmacher wrote: โ25 Jan 2026 13:03 pm clappingand cheering

Frack, if you are watching the game on TV I do not care if they are making dinner plans. My eyes tell me what is going on.

just pointing out that your prescription for everyone to match what suits you is monumentally short sighted and selfish. I am marveling and chuckling at your ability to be proud of that. It's the best some people can do. I say that as a 50 year fan myself, first live game in 75-76.Cajanek-Spielmacher wrote: โ26 Jan 2026 12:11 pmseattleblue wrote: โ26 Jan 2026 11:01 amlol imagine being proud of the position "announcers aren't even needed for me because I watch with perfect focus at every second and can determine every player at a glance by their skating style, which is a incredibly intelligent sustainable system for a sport needing mass fans"Cajanek-Spielmacher wrote: โ25 Jan 2026 13:03 pm clappingand cheering

TYVM for your critique of my statement. I am also old enough to remember when the cheering was spontaneous and not lemming driven.
It was necessary when the names were not on the back of the sweaters but what do I know after 25+ years of STH and 50 years of fandom.

It wonโt happen. But Iโd swap out Vitale for Mike McKenna in a heartbeat. I really enjoy listening to him. Is McKenna working for anyone else right now?
