Kerber off-mic last night

Post by blues2112 »

Happen to hear what he said about Stars and the younger ref?

(Perhaps it was mentioned in GDT, but I'm too old to keep up with that and watch game.)

I don't have any idea what you're talking about either, but now I want to know what he said!

Yep I heard that. I rewound it bc I wasn’t fully paying attention but thought it sounded weird. That’s when I realized it was a hot mic

He called him out knowingly big time on the broadcast as well so he's honest about it.

He made another inappropriate remark during play mid-game, I forget now exactly, I should have written it down, there's so much to forget.
But my favorite was Vitale talking about how hockey players really would be great Astronauts, because they have to think and make quick decisions with the puck. I suppose when somebody has that low of an IQ, then for them almost everybody else is a genius.

The broadcast is a grave disservice to long time fans.

If you cant watch yhe game and have to listen to what amounts as a poor podcast you have no idea where the puck is or who has it or why.

It's beyond suckage.

I've had that same problem for quite a while now.

Until the team is better and playoff contentious, announcers, Kerbs, and Joe-E might as well stumble along too. Being long distance hearing the two on the Internet 101 broadcasts, I didn’t notice all that you guys frequently talk about . They filled the radio time and had enough play by play and back and forth banter to be entertaining during game time. Their knowledge and interest in the Blues is evident and I don’t want to hear a generic, neutral broadcast. This is what you fellows may be getting if you complain too much.
The disaster, in addition to simulcasting the broadcast started with the firing of John Kelly who was also “invested” in the Blues. Thus my conclusion is to go back to separate broadcasts of TV & radio because broadcasting TV should be be announcing what is happening before your eyes and showing lots of replays to explain what happened on the plays we just saw. Leave the “personalities” to radio since the listener hears some creativity to fill up a radio cast. Announce the separation of the broadcasts for radio and tv for for the 26-27 season and the complaints will disappear.

I was just about to say…I wish he would’ve said something so egregious, vile and offensive, that they would have had no choice but to fire em both.

Turns out I went ahead and said it anyway.

Not before first punishing with him a multi-year extension
