and if they didn't have any in the Top 100, you'd be here (bleep) and moaning about that.

prospects are fun to watch/follow...join in....or stay your course
Then why not just watch the minor leagues? If you're so enamored with watching minor league talent then I suggest you watch the minor leagues. Keep licking that boot.

that's a good idea. I never thought of that one. I'll look into it.

MlbPipeline ~ 87th

Doyle and Rodriguez's ranks are very similar....Doyle ~ 34th and 33rd. Rodriguez ~ 37th and 35th. JJ ~ 5th and 3rd. Bernal ~ 98th and Not Ranked with BA

pretty big variance there with Baez. I'm not an expert....but I'd put him closer to Mayo/Callis ranking at 87th, than Cooper's ranking at 54th.

I hope the youngsters in AA and high A pitch well enough to make a run at the Top 100 lists in the midseason....here's looking at you Franklin, Fajardo, and Clarke....and Yairo Padilla and Deniel Ortiz take their hitting to the next level.

Could be an exciting Spring/Summer.
Exactly. I'd be surprised if they don't add 1 or 2 more candidates via trade between now and the mid-summer rankings. I'm thinking about trying to go to my first minor league game this summer. There are many players that would be interesting to watch, but if I could choose just one, I would like to see Yairo Padilla play in person.
I have been to games in both Springfield and Memphis, albeit, not for several years now.

Hammonds field is right next to a hotel in Springfield so you can walk to the game from that hotel. At least when I went to the game, they had 2-4 players at the entrance gate greeting fans before the game. Not sure if they still do that. Being close to Branson, you can spend a night going to a game in Springfield and catch a show in Branson as well over a 3 day weekend. Also don't miss stopping at the World's largest candy store 20 miles outside of Springfield off Highway 44. Sounds kind of quirky, but, it is better than you might expect...

Memphis is a bigger ballpark experience. Very close to the famous Rendezvous restaurant in Memphis. Very nice stadium. Don't wonder too far off in that neighborhood though. It makes downtown / near north side St. Louis look safe...

If I had to pick one, I would pick Springfield because it is closer. But, given the talent the Cards have in Memphis this year, that is probably the place to go. Bernal catching, Baez in the OF, their entire starting pitching staff...But Rodriguez and Jesus Baez may be worth it in Springfield as well. I am just interested in watching Baez, Bernal and one of our pitchers more at this point.

I would even consider going to Peoria. As I stated, I am interested in seeing Padilla play. I would also have interest in seeing Dutkanych pitch, or even Tanner Franklin if he is still there.

I go to Springfield. 3 games Friday night Saturday and Sundy afternoon. Hotel and tickets still cheaper than 1 game at Busch. Premium seats. Great little town. Highly recommend it.

We live about 2 hours east of Nashville Sounds stadium . We have seen the Memphis Redbirds play the Nashville Sounds (Brewers AAA affiliate) .
cashless parking , stadium tix, and concessions too. Several years ago when I went there , that was new experience for me . Being an older guy and a bowler for years (bowling was a cash business only , it was odd not paying for my parking or food with 'real money ' lol

Peoria is pretty cool...my experiences...were best earlier in the year...May or early June. The grass still looks green...but if you get a North wind you'll inhale lot's of Canadian Wild fire smoke. Games in July...the grass is not as green as it should be.

that being said, they have the BEST promotional jerseys. Their Copa jerseys are the best in the Minors....the Traffic Barrell jerseys are highly annoying but iconic. And the concessions at the Dozer park top tier. If you get a chance, travel a bit west and visit Quad Cities (Davenport ~ Royals A+ team)...now that's an experience. On the River...beautiful stadium. To the east a bit is South Bend, their 4 Winds Casino Field is a top tier newer park. Not the best location, but most of the upper midwest is rustic.

I like Hammons over Auto Zone....but that might be the city experience....love the Ozarks/Foothills. Springfield has the players not in the lineup greeting, but Memphis does, too, in a way...usually they have 2 guys signing autographs who aren't in the lineup that night. Usually get a good starting pitcher signing autographs taking pictures.

Roger Dean/Jupiter is awesome....especially in the Spring...bit windy though. But worth the visit. I like the parks on the west coast of Florida. Bradenton is really nice...Lakeland is a bit older, but still good experience, and they have their layout just like old Tigers Stadium ...420 feet dead center....340 lines..

I like Clearwater a bit better than Dunedin....and the Yanks facilities in Tampa are TOP notch.

Tickets are still available for Spring Breakout...now that's a great chance to see all your favorite prospects. I get to go to my first one this spring, and then we're heading over to Bradenton for the Pirates vs. Tigers Spring Breakout the next day.... Griffin, Hernandez, the Big 3 from the Tigers, plus Max Clark.

The Cards and Nats will have Rainiel, Deniel, Doyle (probably starts...Mathews did last year), Bernal, Padilla, Hunter, Mitchell (maybe?...high draft pick, I don't see why not) ....Nats have Willits, Susana should start (insane FB/Slider combo).

---------------

Sorry, TB....long post. But I get excited about the in person experiences. Thought I'd share mine.

If you're ever in the Carolinas area...it's a baseball heaven. A and A+ teams everywhere and 2 triple A teams within a few hours of each other.

Quin Mathews revenge tour in 2026 after falling out of the top 100. He’ll be one of the three best starters in the big league rotation by the end of the season.

Echoing what others have said, Hammons Field in Springfield is fantastic. I’ve been to a few minor league parks in different parts of the country and none of them beat Hammons.
