Thomas can be part of the future. He needs to get healthy and he needs help on the ice before he loses all his hair.
I dont see Dvorsky as a Celebrini that seems certain but i think DD may surprise some folks at some point with his production. early to mid 20s i expect him to be a 1A/1B type center
I see DD as being at least a fine #2 center by his third year, averaging anywhere from 60 to 75 points a season. If he were to top that on a regular basis, then…BONUS.

Boston fans may go nuts if they lost Hagens. He may be a really special player! Possibly the best College player (HOBEY BAKER POSSIBLY) who plays college hockey in Boston!

The more I research something like this--seems really unlikely and possibly a horrible situation for Thomas.

He needs to change the transmission, he needs another gear. He seems to play very well defensively and in transition but he's not fast or quick enough with his feet to be a true playmaker or puck supporter offensively. I see him veer off to net front or slot or an open space a lot because others are beating him to the puck. He's in Schenn territory, only worse at the moment.
He wont be 21 till June hes doing great flashes unreal skill he is actually moving better than i saw in the past when i really concerned. If Dalibor can get into the low teens in goals scored this season with 30 games left thats a successful first NHL campaign also have to consider hes on a really bad team. I have zero concern we have our center tandem now regardless of this seasons output from Thomas.
Yeah, I get that. Right now 2 ES assists in the 40 games he's played is in the category of absurd.

While I like the idea of Hagens and Lohrei, I cannot see Boston giving up both, even if the return includes RT.

Pasta and McAvoy are not getting any younger. Boston is hoping that Hagens becomes as good as Thomas who fits those stars timelines a lot more.

Your points are valid, but there aren’t many 20 year old centers playing steadily in the league - even on bad teams.
Like Mailloux, I think he is working on his defensive game first and foremost, and I applaud them both. Maybe that extra care and responsibility has him back on his heels more he might be if he had the NHL defensive game down.
Once he does, I believe we will see him more on his toes.
Exactly the same way we are seeing Mailloux getting more involved in the O zone lately.
He could use a skating coach, On that I totally agree.

That's a horrid deal for the Blues...Thomas alone should get you Hagens and a 1st. Faulk should get you another 1st and a decent prospect. If they need to throw in spare parts so be it, but there needs to be another 1st added and someone NHL ready like Lysell
