How many other "Texiers" are on our bench locked in the same cement jello?

Nathan Walker once scored a Hattrick, too. Imagine what he could do on the Avalanche!

If you cant play a 200' game in the NHL then whats the use, Blues dont need another playoff liability

Didn't the Blues SHUT OUT Montreal with Texier in their lineup?

At the rate they’re going, that’s not going to be an issue anytime soon.

Hidden amongst the ramblings of the lunatic fringe is a small kernel of truth. It was pointed out in other threads as well, but it just shows the disconnect between the type of guys Army has acquired and the coaching styles of Berube or Monty. The two do not mesh in the least.

You REALLY need to see that therapist.
Why put people on this forum through the misery of viewing your uneducated drivel when its obvious that ARMY owns you 24/7.
You are ruining the forum. If you are proud of that...it speaks volumes about who you are.

This is stat plucking. He got 6 points in the last 3 games playing on the top line.

I remember looking at his game by game logs before he was out on the top line and he went almost the entire month of December without a point, same ice time, not on top line.

Actually, Thomas, Buch, Schenn, Neighbours, Snuggerud, Dvorsky, Stenberg, Suter, Sunny, Walker, all these guys play the right way. Half of them are 20 or so years old, Kyrou doesnt score any more for some reason neither does Buch oddly. But they are stocked with 2 way guys and more coming

What does it say about Montreal and their evaluations of talent that they have Texier on the top line!!!!!!!!

Right!!!???

Isn't that the [nonsense] argument you had for Berggren?

You know the answer, so no need to make posts daily for the next several months. Texier is playing with Caufield and Suzuki. End of story. Two incredibly dynamic players that make others around them better. Texier is skilled and always has been, and he finally fell into a perfect situation. Good for him.

Oh, and just to take this off the table:

Caufield - 15th overall pick
Suzuki - 13th overall
Moral of the Story:
Skating with #13 and #15 provides a significant advantage over skating with #20 and #26 and #35 and #75.

Who wants to tell Army?
I guess we are ignoring the fact that texier himself never showed up? He finally got a situation that he wanted and hes ACTUALLY trying. Thats not on anyone but texier.
Right. He got opportunities here and he (upset) them away. On the occasion that he'd show a flash of what he can do, he'd be rewarded with increased playing time. Then within a game or two, he'd be MIA again.

Grasshopper,

You are nipping at true hockey understanding, possibly even getting an A for the semester. Anybody that knows Professor ASOGG's mind this well is truly on their way.

Let's see if you can run on your own. Let's see if you don't need training wheels. Please give thought to where Bergren and Texier may be 1 year from now, and how that impacts the percieved wisdom of the GM.

His most frequent linemates during his hot streak have been Suzuki and Caufield. I believe Bolduc's hot streaks were also during a brief period of 1st line deployment. At the end of last year with the Blues, Texier was playing with Sunny and Joseph and was being used in a checking role. He averaged 12:29 TOI with the Blues. During his hat trick game a few days ago, he played 17:15. His SOG and shooting % numbers are basically at career average. So basically, absolute optimum/choice/elite deployment leads to good results even for average or below average players.

It reminds me of Braeden Bowman for the Knights. He got called up and scored a bunch right away playing 17+ minutes with Eichel and Barbashev. Now he's playing 11 minutes with a couple of nobodies and isn't producing anymore.

But… Bolduc was the future of the Canadiens last week.. this week Texier. Totally different styles of team play. Texier refused contact, does not fit into our system. Bolduc -2 tonight and getting railed by the Montreal press. Tex will soon be there. Just like Bergerren(sorry, spelling) started hot for us and got benched the last game. Long season!
