Why does Opie need to keep being reminded?
Army won the cup and decided to act like this wasn’t about players but about how well this is managed.
He Jerry Kraused Petro.
He leveraged Petro bringing in Faulk a then signed a really bad human being in Krug the day before he signed in Vegas for less money when taxes and cost of living is accounted for.
He married a StL girl and wanted to be here. I know this personally.

Armstrong needs some help I think. He can’t stop seeing him every time he walks by statues. Medication probably won’t help that.2forDiving wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 11:31 amReally bad human being? He made a smart move. Like I said, the sycophants have issues. Some even pretend to be in the mental health field and make up stories about living in the Canadian Rockies. Or being beat up by Jason Marshall. Odd ducks, those folks.theograce wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 11:34 amArmstrong needs some help I think. He can’t stop seeing him every time he walks by statues. You should reach out and offer him support. Sounds like he needs it. He’s still seeing things
Re: Petro, Barbashev, Mikkola
It was covid. A lot of uncertainty on what the upcoming season would look like. I'm sure the owners were seeing effects with their other business ventures as well. They went as far as they could and it wasn't enough.
Re: Petro, Barbashev, Mikkola
Fair. But regardless of their reasoning, I believe they miscalculated. He was worth what he was asking, and especially so for the Blues. The extra playoff revenue he likely would've helped the team generate would've probably put them ahead on the deal in the end.sdaltons wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 12:14 pmIt was covid. How much revenue would he have generated in those possible postseason games vs the 4 years he wouldn’t have suited up for games? His longevity played a role in the decision. He didn’t miss many hits. He wasn’t a Makar or Hughes that makes guy miss. He took a lot of punishment over the years.Ziggy3 wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 13:48 pmFair. But regardless of their reasoning, I believe they miscalculated. I don't recall his durability being in question at the time, but even if it was...I'd say he'd still net quite a bit more than Krug?2forDiving wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 14:04 pmHow much revenue would he have generated in those possible postseason games vs the 4 years he wouldn’t have suited up for games? Army's biggest mistake is the 3yr/$18.3m contract for Fowler...looking like his second mistake was signing Monty to a 5 year deal.

His original ask was for Doughty and Karlsson money, along with a signing bonus and NMC. He wasn't worth that.Ziggy3 wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 13:48 pmFair. People (buzz) and complain on here about a partial-NTC, good lord the eye gouging if he was here with a full NMC.
Re: Petro, Barbashev, Mikkola
So, not only are you playing if only, you are ignoring reality. Are you saying Las Vegas made Petros kids sick? Are you saying if he'd stayed, none of his injuries would put him where he is today? Where is AP now?Ziggy3 wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 13:48 pmFair. But regardless of their reasoning, I believe they miscalculated. He was worth what he was asking, and especially so for the Blues. If you are ok with this albatross, don't mention anything Army has signed before because this is franchise destroyingly bad. This is Petro wearing cement boots with an engine block attached to his waist while strapped to the anchor on Titanic bad. This is how you become Buffalo. We dodged a bullet.
Re: Petro, Barbashev, Mikkola
No, I'm saying that in the time he left until now, the Blues would've likely played in and won more playoff games than they did. And where is he now? Idk, maybe playing golf with Krug?TAFKAP wrote: ↑29 Dec 2025 14:40 pmSo, not only are you playing if only, you are ignoring reality. Are you saying Las Vegas made Petros kids sick? I count at least 3 in this thread alone.
There's only 1 person on this planet who's forsaken the real world to regale this forum with the daily and everlasting quest of remembrance of the 3 most important centers of his existence:
-Army s*cks (especially for trading Petro)
-Petro is God
-Top 5 picks are the only way he'll ever cease his incessant whining
Side projects:
-Broberg is soft (and hated for the very notion he could potentially replace Petro)
Re: Petro, Barbashev, Mikkola
I worry about Doug. This is still haunting him both professionally and personally.
