Most certainly will have to get him young and groom him. Maybe a A level player who they can develop into one. That IMO is best case, I can't see a scenario where a team is willing to trade a legit power hitter AA or higher for a player. He'd have to be special and the Cardinals don't possess that type of player currently.

Personally, I can't see any the Cardinals can trade for. We all know they will never sign another good free agent. So again, do you trade for prospects, average pitching or is it just a salary dump?

You trade for prospects.
Then hopefully you build a roster with a good pct of cost controlled talent. When this happens, either you already have a power bat, or you do what the O’s did and sign an Alonso.

No again requires. I replied with answer
Some posters are drama queens. Especially when they call a person they really don't know a "sick old man." It actually takes a sick person to make a post like that.
Back on topic, I would imagine that Bloom is fully aware of the offensive shortcomings and we'll soon see a trade for a bat. Especially if a possibly resurgent Arenado is traded. Can you imagine going into 2026 with the outfield we presently have and Gorman at first base?
